Obama's misleading message on the economy

AP has this headline:

Obama hammers McCain, Bush on economy, gas prices

So if the economy was so bad, how did he go from having his credit cards maxed out in 2000 before Bush was elected, to a current net worth of over $4 million? Well we know he wrote a couple of well received books, but how were all those poor Democrats able to afford to buy the books? How did all those poor Democrats manage to contribute enough money to his campaign to make the the biggest political fund raiser in the history of the world? Where did Democrats come up with the $100 plus million to donate to Obama in such a "bad" economy?

Perhaps someone the the McCain campaign will ask these questions. I hope so.

As for gas prices, he is really stepping in it since it is the policies of the Democrats that are causing the high prices. The Democrats strangling of production has reduced the available supply and is making Americans pay more for all forms of energy. If they would remove the restrictions on drilling we would have abundant supplies of oil at lower cost and the federal government would get a windfall that would probably pay off the national debt and fully fund social security without having to raise taxes. We know the Democrats would not want to do that.

As is their want, Democrats tend to overstate economic problems when Republicans are in office making every election year sound like a rerun of the great depression with soup lines on every corner. This is where Obama is really vulnerable because of the success he has achieved during the Bush years. The NY Times also covers his misery tour.

If we could just get him to put Hillary Clinton on the ticket, we would have two candidates on the Democrat ticket that were virtually insolvent when he took office and now multi millionaires. What a country. You can go from rages to riches and still act like everything is awful.
