Gallup says race is even
Gallup says the race is tied at 45 percent a piece between Obama and McCain. It reflects a tightening in their daily tracking poll. Other polls such as Newsweak and the LA Times give Obama a big lead, but there does not appear to be any rationale for such a lead since he has had a horrible couple of weeks of gaffes and snafus which should have dragged his numbers down.
