Hambali sings for CIA

An al Qaeda operative arrested in Thailand has provided information to the CIA about planned attacks in Thailand and Indonesia. He has also admitted his role in teh Bali Bombing as well as the Marriot bombing in Indonesia.

"...The arrest of the Qaeda operative, Riduan Isamuddin, an Indonesian better known as Hambali, has diminished the risk of any successful attacks "significantly," one ambassador in the region said.

"They were apparently planned to coincide with the gathering in Bangkok next month of 21 world leaders, including President Bush, one ambassador in the region said. Hundreds of delegates and journalists are expected to attend, their presence in just about every hotel presenting a security nightmare."

"...Thai authorities, using intelligence gathered from Mr. Isamuddin and others, as well as help from the C.I.A., are now looking for two other cells of 5 to 10 men each, another official said."

This is more bad news for the Democrats who have been making the ludicrous assertion that the Bush administration has not been doing enough to track down al Waeda operatives.
