Tornadoes in Texas
A tornado watch has been issued for much of Central and Southeast Texas through 4 p.m. today, with severe weather threats impacting over 40 counties, including Bell, McLennan, and Robertson counties.
According to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, Tornado Watch 231 remains active until late Tuesday afternoon for areas including Waco, Temple, Killeen, Bryan, and surrounding communities. Forecasters warn that conditions are favorable for the development of tornadoes, large hail, and damaging winds throughout the watch area.
The alert includes key cities such as Fort Cavazos, Copperas Cove, Gatesville, Hearne, Rockdale, and Franklin. I live about 20 miles south of Bryan, and it is completely calm outside right now. I do have an appointment in College Station this morning, which is adjacent to Bryan. The current radar shows most of the action well south of here. out in the Gulf of Mexico/America.
