The Medicaid scam

 Red State:

...

And there’s a whole lot of grift going on, according to Oz, the administrator of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services in the Trump administration. Appearing on “Sunday Morning Futures” with host Maria Bartiromo, he said there’s at least $14 billion in fraudulent activity in Medicaid alone:

"There's about $14 billion we've identified with DOGE, of folks who are duly enrolled wrongly in multiple states for Medicaid," Oz said on this week's "Sunday Morning Futures."

"You live in New Jersey, but you move to Pennsylvania, and which state gets your Medicaid? Turns out both states collect money from the federal government."

...

Shouldn't the DOJ be interested in prosecuting this kind of fraudulent use of taxpayer funding for fraud and abuse?

If it is just incompetence, shouldn't those responsible for it be held accountable?  It has been a while since I was prosecuting fraud cases, but this one looks like it should be a lay-up to win.
