Those behind the Biden cognitive coverup

 DC Daily Journal:

A new book, Original Sin: President Biden’s Decline, Its Cover-Up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again by CNN’s Jake Tapper and Axios’s Alex Thompson, released Tuesday, alleges that Biden’s inner circle hid his cognitive decline for years.

The Washington Post editorial board wrote, “It now seems that, for a considerable time, Biden might have lacked the stamina and cognitive capacity the job demands — and that his family and closest aides concealed this from the public.”

The book details memory issues from the 2020 campaign, noting, “From at least 2022, Biden was forgetting the names of his top aides and appearing incoherent at times.”

This follows reports of Biden’s advanced prostate cancer diagnosis, later retracted by his office.

The editorial board urged Congress to establish oversight to ensure transparency, stating, “Can steps be taken to ensure that voters remain aware of their leaders’ frailties? This is a question for Congress: How should the government respond when a president seems to be operating with diminished faculties?”

While brain cancer can affect cognitive issues, I have never heard of prostate cancer causing them.  As for Biden, I thought he looked more than a little off-kilter for much of the campaign.  His moves were often awkward, and his ability to maintain a coherent thought was often questionable.  I suspect that the Democrats just thought he was their best shot at holding power and decided to get a mental cripple over the finish line.

Ex-Obama Aide Makes Bombshell Admission About Biden's Health Cover-Up

In a stunning moment of candor on "The Weekly Show" podcast with Jon Stewart, former Obama speechwriter and "Pod Save America" co-host Jon Lovett admitted what conservatives have been saying for years: the left knew Joe Biden wasn’t up to the job, but it deliberately misled the public to win an election.

During a discussion about Biden’s age and mental fitness, Lovett confessed that he and others in the Democratic orbit saw clear signs of Biden’s decline long before the 2024 campaign imploded but chose to downplay them out of fear that honesty would hurt their chances of keeping power.

Lovett recalled seeing Biden in April 2024: “He was rambling, and he was hard to follow, and he repeated a story.” But rather than raise alarms, he and others accepted assurances from Biden’s handlers that he was “just exhausted.”
