Trump defends Hegseth's efforts

"Here we go again," Trump said, scoffing at the efforts against Hegseth. "Just a waste of time. He is doing a great job."

"Why do you still have confidence in him?" one of the reporters asked.

Trump repeated again, "Because he's doing a great job...Ask the Houthis how he's doing. Ask the Houthis how much dysfunction there is."

Now that's a mic drop right there. The Houthis, no doubt, are not liking American strength right now.

Trump repeated that everyone was happy with Hegseth, and he even included how recruitment has gone up under his chosen defense secretary, as opposed to how it had cratered under Joe Biden. Trump said he thought it was the highest numbers in 28 years. Trump termed the rumor "fake news" and said Hegseth was put in to get rid of a "lot of bad people," and perhaps this was from a "disgruntled" person.

When it comes to Hegseth, it looks like Democrats are engaging in opposition just to be oppositional.  Democrats are far too oppositional to Trump and people in his administration.

The Democrat Party sent out a tweet on Sunday that simply read "Pete Hegseth needs to go."

Compelling, insightful, and very convincing.

Hegseth didn't take it lying down, however. He fired back by telling the Democrat Party what it is while simultaneously spiking the football on just how much power they have, which to the Democrat Party, is the ultimate slap in the face.

"Your agenda is illegals, trans & DEI — all of which are no longer allowed @ DoD," Hegseth fired back.

Drones appear to be replacing jets for many operations.  The Russia-Ukraine war is an example of that.  Drones are often hard to detect and can be used for intelligence operations as well as for attacking enemy targets.  It would not surprise me to see drones engaging other drones in combat.  They also cost much less than manned fighters.

Apple's huge investment in US including Texas facility

Blaze: Apple announced a $500 billion commitment to infrastructure in the United States over four years, its largest commitment to domestic spending to date. Apple said it will expand teams and facilities in Arizona, California, Iowa, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Oregon, Texas, and Washington as part of its new spending. With a new facility in Houston, Texas, Apple will reportedly double its investment in advanced manufacturing along with increasing investments in AI and silicon engineering. The company said in a press release that the Houston facility will produce servers to support Apple Intelligence, the "personal intelligence system that helps users write, express themselves, and get things done." ... The Texas facility will be for advanced technologies.   Texas has become a place that is very supportive of the tech industries.  Austin and Houston have seen much of the tech growth in the state.  Texas universities have been active in the AI field.
