Border Control making a comeback under Trump

The U.S. Border Patrol is experiencing a remarkable resurgence in spirit and effectiveness, according to Chief Mike Banks. In a recent interview on “America’s Newsroom,” Banks shared his enthusiasm, stating, “We’ve had the handcuffs taken off” and “we’re allowed to actually do our job, which is go out and enforce the law.”

This newfound freedom to uphold immigration laws has ignited a wave of optimism among agents, with Banks noting, “Under this administration, they have literally taken the handcuffs off and allowed us to enforce law instead of policies that were created to contradict the law and so our morale has continued to rise.”

A recent U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) report highlights the tangible impact of this shift. In March, apprehensions at the southern border plummeted, with fewer migrants detained in the entire month than in just the first two days of March 2024 under the previous administration. This stark contrast reflects the decisive actions taken by President Donald Trump since assuming office in January.

The Biden border police was more about importing future Democrat voters than protecting the US from an invasion of illegals.  The Biden administration pretended it needed help from Congress to control the border, and Trump has demonstrated that the Presdient has the power and the responsibility for controlling the border.

Drones appear to be replacing jets for many operations.  The Russia-Ukraine war is an example of that.  Drones are often hard to detect and can be used for intelligence operations as well as for attacking enemy targets.  It would not surprise me to see drones engaging other drones in combat.  They also cost much less than manned fighters.

Apple's huge investment in US including Texas facility

Blaze: Apple announced a $500 billion commitment to infrastructure in the United States over four years, its largest commitment to domestic spending to date. Apple said it will expand teams and facilities in Arizona, California, Iowa, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Oregon, Texas, and Washington as part of its new spending. With a new facility in Houston, Texas, Apple will reportedly double its investment in advanced manufacturing along with increasing investments in AI and silicon engineering. The company said in a press release that the Houston facility will produce servers to support Apple Intelligence, the "personal intelligence system that helps users write, express themselves, and get things done." ... The Texas facility will be for advanced technologies.   Texas has become a place that is very supportive of the tech industries.  Austin and Houston have seen much of the tech growth in the state.  Texas universities have been active in the AI field.
