Republicans respond to Biden seeking reelection

 Fox News:

South Carolina Republican Sen. Tim Scott, who recently launched a 2024 presidential exploratory committee, told Fox News Digital that another "term would be a disaster for the American people."

"Joe Biden and the radical Left’s blueprint to ruin America includes attacking our patriotism, targeting our religious liberties, leaving our border wide open, and wasting trillions of dollars we don’t have," Scott said.

"My story is only possible in this country, but they are attacking every rung of the ladder that allowed me to climb," the South Carolina Republican continued. "Championing what makes America the greatest country on earth is on the line."

"We need a president who will restore hope, create opportunity, and protect America," he added. "I have faith in America, and it’s about time the president did too."

GOP presidential contender Larry Elder told Fox News Digital that after "the Democrats’ better than expected performance in the 2022 midterms, it was clear that Biden, if he could fog up a mirror, would be running for reelection despite his unpopularity, and the even more unpopular vice president."

"Unfortunately, for Biden-Harris, they have a record to run on: record levels of inflation; high gas prices; reckless spending; support for Covid lockdowns that, among other unintended consequences, set American kids further back in math and reading; the disastrous Afghanistan, pull out; borders overrun resulting in millions of on accountable illegal aliens in the country, some of home are on the terror watchlist; crime on the uptick in many of our major cities due to George Soros backed soft-on-crime DAs and the Democrats’ anti-cop rhetoric; and forcing Americans to buy electric vehicles based on the dubious argument that EVs are more positive for the environment than gasoline powered vehicles while making us even more dependent on China, or countries controlled by China, to mine and produce the rare earth minerals necessary for the EV battery, and in some cases, using child labor to do so."

Former Vice President Mike Pence told Fox News Digital, "The Biden administration’s record is a record of failure at home and abroad."

"We as Republicans welcome the opportunity to contrast the failed policies of the Biden administration and present our records to the American people: a thriving economy, energy independence, a secure southern border, crime controlled in our cities, and peace through strength overseas," Pence said.

House Republican Conference chairwoman Elise Stefanik of New York said in a statement that our "country will not support another four years of Joe Biden's disastrous policies crushing hardworking American families."

"The American people are suffering from crippling inflation, record illegal border crossings, and woke policies that seek to destroy our freedoms," Stefanik said. "Joe Biden has never been in a weaker position. Not only do the vast majority of Americans strongly disapprove of his presidency and policies, even over 50 percent of Democrats do not want him to run again."

"Finish what job, destroying America?" Wisconsin GOP Senator Ron Johnson tweeted.
...

Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz tweeted out a list of things that "Joe Biden means by 'Let’s finish the job.'"

"Worsening crime rates. More economic struggles. Higher inflation. Exacerbated border crisis. America’s enemies further emboldened. Increased attacks on religious liberty and our Constitutional rights," Cruz wrote.

"Hell no," he added.
...

There is more.

That Biden will be allowed to run again is evidence of how weak the Democrat bench is.  Biden is a terrible candidate who has done a terrible job as president and Vice President Kamala Harris is even worse.
