Democrats are the ones that made Benghazi attacks political by trying to cover up the truth

James Robbins:
...
... Benghazi, Libya, has been about politics since the day of the attack. Obama administration officials were messaging concerns about the political impact of the assault on Sept. 11, 2012, while it was still underway. It undercut the Obama re-election campaign talking point that the war on terrorism was being won.

The administration needed to deflect questions about its intelligence and preparedness failures before the attack, and lack of leadership while Americans were dying. Later, officials had to explain why they concocted a bogus story about a spontaneous riot over a YouTube video as a means of providing political cover. As Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, said Thursday, this “false narrative … started with you, Madame Secretary.”

Senior committee Democrat Rep. Elijah Cummings said the select committee was set up because Republicans “did not like the answers” they got from earlier Benghazi investigations. But the previous inquiries did not turn up Hillary Clinton’s emails or other highly pertinent information. And if the only impact the select committee has is to bring those emails to light, it has done a public service.
...
The Obama administration pushed a false narrative to try to win an election.  The irony is that if they had been honest about what happened they would probably had support from Republicans to go after those responsible for the attacks.  By engaging in the politics of fraud, they set things in motion that resulted in teh need for this investigation which is having a fallout on their election in 2016.
