Search broadens in defense from cyber attacks

Washington Post:

The defense ministry and intelligence agency are hosting a competition in a quest for computer whizzes who can defend South Korea's technological front lines.
This is an area where the US also needs to engage.  They need to not only build up defenses but also improve counter measures that will act as a deterrent.  They need something like the HARM counter radar missile that homes in on a radar system that is trying to paint an attacking plane.  That missile finds the radar signal and destroys the radar.  What is needed is a means of tracing the attacking computer and destroying it.   A malware that attacks any cyber attacker would be one way of achieving that.
