The shrinking credibility of the Obama administration

The State Department tried to make the case that the Trade of five Taliban leaders for a man charged with desertion was "worth it" on the same day the White House spokesman was defending its counter terrorism strategy in Yemen as the chaos continued to worsen.

Jon Karl of  ABC was incredulous:

That's astounding. You're saying that you still see Yemen as the model, that building up the central government which has now collapsed, a president who has apparently fled the country, Saudi troops have amassed on one boarder, the Iranians supporting the rebels. You consider this as a model for counter-terrorism?
These counterintuitive arguments seem to come natural to an administration that has pushed its cheif legislative accomplishment on the back of massive lies about being able to "keep your current plan" and being able to "keep your doctor."

They have become like a globo warmer trying to blame record cold and snow falls on a warming planet.

At some point people are going to shake their heads and say their eyes don't lie.  The "all is well" narrative is not going to sell.
