These pictures recently obtained by Rex Features show an, at the time, relatively unknown Barack Obama visiting Kenya. Basecamp Masai Mara in Mara National Reserve in Kenya is a Scandinavian initiative that aims to develop a partnership with the native Masai people. Unsurprisingly, given its inclusionist goals and message, it was the camp's impressive record that drew a famous visitor to it in 2007 - the then relatively unknown US Senator Barrack Obama. During his visit to the camp Obama and his family were thoroughly briefed on the three Ps concept that the camp lives by - People, Planet, Profit; local principles that Obama now aims to apply on the world stage. And Obama's visit certainly seems to have left an impression. Even today at the local Masai school the children happily run round with Obama caps on their heads, chanting the byObama returns to his father's Kenyan homeland for first time since becoming President

Obama has visited Kenya three times in the past, including once as a U.S. senator, but never as president.
In this 2008 story his brother is seen living in a hut on the outskirts of Nairobi.  He also has some other brothers.  I hope he has a safe journey.
