Rove says trends not favorable to Obama
It will take a couple of weeks for his electoral map and polling to catch up with what is happening on the ground.
I think the economy, energy, and health care will continue to be the main areas of concern for Obama, but the back ground buzz on his Kenya birth literary flier and new information about an attempt to silence Rev. Wright will also erode Obama's credibility on other issues. They reaffirm the perception that he will stretch the truth and distort the facts to achieve his objectives. He is, of course, not the first politician to do that, but these things tend to have a cumulative effect once they enter the back ground narrative. We are already seeing polling suggesting that voters see his gay marriage position as more political calculation than evolution as portrayed by his media fans.
