Democrats put politics ahead of the troops

While some might think that is a headline for an old story, this is a new twist on the problems with getting a new emergency funding authorization. The NY Times reports that Hillary Clinton and John Edwards are pushing proposals that are at odds with getting any compromise funding legislation and will complicate any deal. There is a way around this problem if Reid and his group are up to it and that is leave their selfish Presidential candidates to stew by themselves and do what is right for the country instead. While that is a long shot it is what they should do.
