Collapsing the cease fire in Gaza

BBC:

Israel has continued its attacks against Palestinian militants, with a deadly air strike on a car in Gaza.

A top Islamic Jihad militant, Mohammed Khalil, and a fellow militant were killed, and two people were wounded in the attack outside Gaza City.

The Israeli Prime Minister, Ariel Sharon, has ordered "unrestricted" strikes against Palestinian militants, after rocket attacks from Gaza.

Palestinians have warned that the moves could force a ceasefire to collapse.

Does the BBC comprehend how silly that last sentence is? The story waits until the third paragraph to even mention the Palistinian action that prevoked the Israeli response. Most people believe that a cease fire ends when one side starts firing agian, not when the one being shot at returns fire. What the Palestinians may be concerned about is that the Israeli response will include groups other than Hamas, or groups other than Hamas may also break the cease fire. What is clear is that the Palestinian Authority does not have the capacity to control the conduct of Palestinians as a whole.
