Bill Roggio reports on operations from Ramadi to Khan-Al-Baghdadi

R
ead his whole analysis. The Recent activity in Tal Afar hurt al Qaeda more than most in the media are willing to acknowledge. Some of the evidence of this is the desperate tone of Zarqawi's media campaign and al Qaeda's resort to the ineffective use of WMD. Some was found in Tal Afar and some was apparently fired at a ministry building in downtown Baghdad. This was followed with the car bombing of unemployed noncombatants, which got headlines but did nothing to relieve the pressure on al Qaeda.

There is a sense that US and Iraqi forces are narrowing al Qaeda's theater of operation. They have lost most of their forces in the North and northwest Iraq. They never had significant forces in the south. When they are run out of Ramadi they will be truly runing out of places to run to.
