"Robust peacekeeping"
This story has been on the NY Times site for over 24 hours. It appears to be an attempt to suggest that the UN might have some relevance when it comes to the use of force. It also could be argued that the "robust peacekeeping" is an attempt to change the subject from the sexual abuse perpetrated by the same force. To the extent that these guys are dealing with bad guys, it is certainly better than having them in the rear engaging in paedophilia.
Still, it is probably too little too late to change the image of a corrupt organization. The story does not mention peacekeeping, robust or otherwise, in the place where it is most needed, Sudan.
