Biden's 'green light' for Iran attack on Israel

Stephen Kruiser: ... The Biden administration continues to insist that the official stance towards Israel hasn't changed at all. After months of parroting the "Pity the poor Gazans" rhetoric of unhinged college protesters, that all rings very hollow.  That was before Iran did what it did over the weekend.  Then an interesting, disturbing, and disgusting bit of news surfaced, which  Matt wrote about :  On Saturday, Iran initiated a barrage of drones and ballistic missiles at Israel. Thankfully, most of them were successfully intercepted and caused minimal damage. Of course, in a stunning move, President Biden is pushing Israel not to retaliate. It's hard to imagine why Biden would do that, except when you consider that Joe Biden has been appeasing Iran since his days as Barack Obama's vice president. With that in mind, it's also not surprising—though it's still shocking— that Joe Biden not only had prior knowledge of Iran's assault on Israel but also t...

White Texas farmers accuse Biden regime of being racist

Robert Spencer: The Civil Rights Act of 1964 prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, or national origin, but this is 2024, and it’s a whole new ballgame. Discrimination on the basis of race and sex is back with a vengeance, and it’s a big business these days, enforced at the highest levels. Now, however, some farmers in Texas are fighting back. Just The News reported Sunday that “a group of white farmers in Texas is asking a federal judge to block the U.S. Department of Agriculture from using race, gender or other ‘socially disadvantaged’ traits to determine who gets disaster and pandemic farm aid and how much, arguing the agency’s current administration of eight emergency funding programs is unconstitutionally discriminatory.” It’s not surprising that they would have to go to court to try to get justice on this issue. After all, if even the solar eclipse was racist, what isn’t racist these days? The Biden regime apparently does not believe that disc...

China sending war materials to Russia for Ukraine fighting

AP:  China has surged sales to Russia of machine tools, microelectronics and other technology that Moscow in turn is using to produce missiles, tanks, aircraft and other weaponry for use in its war against Ukraine , according to a U.S. assessment. Two senior Biden administration officials, who discussed the sensitive findings Friday on the condition of anonymity, said that in 2023 about 90% of Russia’s microelectronics came from China, which Russia has used to make missiles, tanks and aircraft. Nearly 70% of Russia’s approximately $900 million in machine tool imports in the last quarter of 2023 came from China. Chinese and Russian entities have also been working to jointly produce unmanned aerial vehicles inside Russia, and Chinese companies are likely providing Russia with nitrocellulose used in the manufacture of ammunition, the officials said. China-based companies Wuhan Global Sensor Technology Co., Wuhan Tongsheng Technology Co. Ltd. and Hikvision are providing optical compone...

Hamas plan to 'break' Israel

Reuters: Israeli forces fought Palestinian militants in the north and centre of the Gaza Strip on Friday as Khaled Meshaal, a senior official in Gaza's ruling Hamas movement, said its six-month-old battle with Israel would "break the enemy soon". Most Israeli troops have been pulled out of the Palestinian enclave in preparation for an assault on its southernmost city Rafah, where more than 1 million Palestinians are sheltering, but fighting has continued in various areas. Residents of Al-Nusseirat camp in central Gaza said dozens were dead or wounded after Israeli bombardment from air, land and sea that had followed a surprise ground assault on Thursday, and that houses and two mosques had been destroyed. Health officials said earlier that six people had been killed in strikes on the cinder-block camp, which has housed Palestinian refugee families since 1948, with around 70 wounded, including three Palestinian journalists. In Gaza City, Palestinian health officials said ...

Biden's war policy

DC Daily Journal: Joe Biden said there’d be no new wars on his watch. But that was a total lie. Because President Biden just told his top military general to prepare for war. Back on the 2020 campaign trail, one of the big promises Joe Biden made was that he would keep the United States out of wasteful wars that only serve to prop up the military industrial complex and cause mayhem all across the globe. He likely picked up that this promise was a popular one from Donald Trump, who truly did follow through with that promise. Donald Trump ended wars, didn’t start them, and wiped out terrorists on our way out of Middle Eastern involvement. Even Joe Biden himself conceded that Trump handled ISIS beautifully! ... But the difference between Joe Biden and Donald Trump on this issue is that, as president, Joe Biden has not actually been keeping the United States out of new war efforts at all. If anything, he’s fanning the flames of war in multiple regions like Ukraine and the Middle East....

US repositions troops in Middle East

American Update: The U.S. is repositioning new military assets to the Red Sea ahead of an imminent attack by Iran or one of its proxies on Israel, a defense official told the Daily Caller News Foundation. Iran threatened to retaliate against U.S. troops stationed in the Middle East if the Biden administration intervened in defense of Israel ahead of or during an attack on Israel widely expected to occur within days or hours. The new defense assets, which the official declined to describe in detail, will help deter Iran from attempting to harm American forces that were, until recently , under constant bombardment from Iran’s proxies in Iraq and Syria. U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) commander Gen. Erik Kurilla visited Israel on Thursday to coordinate with Israeli leadership regarding Tehran’s looming retaliation, The New York Times reported . Tehran has been telegraphing its intention to carry out the attack for several days, but it’s unclear how or in what manner it plans to atta...

Biden makes oil and gas more expensive

TTN: The Biden administration unveiled a final rule Friday that increases the costs of drilling for oil and gas on federally-controlled lands. The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) announced its final Fluid Mineral Leases and Leasing Process rule, increasing the amount the government charges drillers to use its land, increasing the government’s cut of profits from extracted oil and making it considerably more expensive for companies to abandon wells. While the administration and activist groups heralded the final rule as a much-needed update to federal guidelines for drilling on public lands, industry groups have generally characterized the regulation as unnecessarily broad and onerous. “The BLM rule will drive small producers off public lands. The bonding amounts are excessive when there are just 37 orphan wells out of more than 90,000 wells on federal lands,” Kathleen Sgamma, the president of the Western Energy Alliance, said in a statement addressing the final rule. “Increasing...

Biden administration targets light bulbs

American Update: The Biden administration finalized energy efficiency regulations targeting light bulbs on Friday. The Department of Energy (DOE) announced the final rules for “general services lamps,” a category of products that includes light bulbs, to nudge the market to adopt more energy efficient models. The Biden administration, led chiefly by the DOE, has pushed similar regulations targeting a host of household appliances. “Making common household appliances more efficient is one of the most effective ways to slash energy costs and cut harmful carbon emissions,” Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm said of the regulation. “Under President Biden and as directed by Congress, DOE is following the lead of lightbulb manufacturers, helping American families flip the switch on massive energy savings through strengthened energy efficiency standards.” The standards finalized Friday will apply to newly-produced lightbulbs starting in 2028, according to the DOE. ... It looks like th...

Tim Scott wants to be Trump's running mate

The Federalist Wire: ... “It’s very clear that Tim Scott is doing everything he can to build his relationship with Donald Trump in an attempt to get picked as VP,” a source who has close ties to the Trump campaign said to the New York Post. “It’s pretty clear he’s one of the people who is being considered.” Back in February, Scott spoke with the Wall Street Journal and told them that he felt like his role supporting Donald Trump was a more comfortable one than the role he had in supporting himself as a presidential candidate. Specifically, he said that he was “free from the internal struggle on how to promote myself without being braggadocious.” Scott has also been present on the campaign trail with the former president quite a bit this year. But despite that, Trump hasn’t let anyone know whether or not Scott or any other potential VP candidates have gained an edge in his eyes. Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL), Gov. Kristi Noem (R-SD), former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI), are also names on ...

Iran attack on Israel ineffective

Newsmax: Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi warned Sunday against any "reckless" Israeli retaliation to Tehran's unprecedented missile and drone attack, as world leaders urged restraint. Iran launched its first-ever direct attack on Israeli territory, marking a major escalation of the long-running covert war between the regional foes and sparking fears of a broader conflict, as fighting between Israel and Hamas militants rages on in the Gaza Strip. Tehran had repeatedly threatened to retaliate against Israel for a deadly April 1 air strike on Iran's consulate building in Damascus, and Washington had warned in recent days that a response was imminent. The response came late Saturday when Iran launched more than 300 drones and missiles towards Israel, injuring 12 people, the Israeli army said. But almost all of the drones and missiles were intercepted before they reached Israel, with help from the United States, Jordan and other allies. Israeli military spokesman Rear Ad...

Illegal used translator app in robbery attempt

PJ Media: Normally the crimes we have heard illegal immigrants commit in this country are utterly horrific, but thankfully this one was just too funny not to write about. A Venezuelan-born man named Yeixon Brito-Gonzalez, who is more likely than not a "newcomer" as the mainstream media calls illegals, was caught trying to rob a bank in Sandusky, Ohio, last week. What allowed the cops to catch him was that he couldn't speak English and had to use a translator app to make his demands to the tellers. The tellers did not comply, so Brito-Gonzalez, probably feeling like a complete idiot, simply left. You'd think he would try to at least learn how to say "give me the money" in English or have an accomplice with him who could, but nobody ever said small-time criminals were smart. The cops had someone who could speak Spanish with them upon finding Brito-Gonzalez a short while later, where he tried to play dumb and deny the robbery but somehow figured that saying h...

Military apparently refused to deploy troops on January 6

Daily Mail: DC National Guard whistleblowers to say they WERE ready to be deployed on January 6 on Trump's orders hours but were held back by the Pentagon in bombshell testimony contradicting Capitol riot committee's story Whistleblowers from the Washington D.C. National Guard will tell Congress that Donald Trump did want them deployed during the Capitol riot and the Army delayed telling them to mobilize in a bombshell hearing next week. DailyMail.com can exclusively reveal that at least three officers will appear Wednesday before a House subcommittee to claim their stories were also ignored by the Democrat-led January 6 committee, because it didn't fit their narrative. The hearing will aim to further prove that Acting Defense Secretary at the time Christopher Miller did give advance approval of D.C. National Guard deployment at the direction of then-President Donald Trump. ... It looks like the January 6 committee was more focused on attacking Trump than getting to th...

Iran threatens attacks against US troops

American Action News: Iran warned earlier this week that it would attack U.S. troops in the Middle East if President Joe Biden helps defend Israel from retaliatory attacks, Axios reported Friday, citing U.S. officials. Iran is potentially prepping a retaliatory attack against Israel, which killed several Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corp (IRGC) members in an airstrike in Syria on April 1. The U.S. is currently helping Israel prepare its defense in light of Iran’s looming attacks, but Tehran is warning the Biden administration that if it interferes, it will launch attacks against U.S. troops in the Middle East, according to U.S. officials who spoke to Axios. Iran has told several nations throughout the Middle East that it holds the U.S. responsible for the Israeli strikes, even though the Biden administration directly told Tehran otherwise. The Biden administration is worried behind closed doors that Iran will include U.S. forces in its retaliatory attacks. “The Iranian messag...

Austin, Texas has become a home for the rich

Austin American-Statesman: Austin has topped the list of the fastest-growing metro areas in the country for years. In a parallel trend, it's now in the top echelon nationally for the growth of its millionaire population. According to the latest data from New World Wealth and Henley & Partners , Austin ranks 10th among U.S. cities for most millionaire residents, with 32,700. Whether it be homegrown wealth like Michael Dell's or Texas transplants like Elon Musk, Austin is becoming a popular address for high-net-worth individuals. The list is based on net worth and includes data up to 2023. Austin rebranded itself as a southern tech hub over the last decade and with that new reputation came unprecedented wealth flowing into the city. From 2013 to 2023, Austin’s millionaire population grew 110%, which is 30 percentage points more than in the original Silicon Valley in California during the same 10-year-span. Speaking of the Bay Area, it is the second fastest-growing on the li...

Biden thinks Making America Great Again will kill people?

Red State: Biden, the president who is  constantly decrying  how poisonous the American political arena has become, on Tuesday continued demonizing anyone who disagrees with him by saying MAGA healthcare policies would literally kill millions of U.S. citizens. Was he actually accusing Republicans of wanting to murder people? You be the judge: BIDEN : My predecessor and his MAGA friends want to — I love the phrase — the — the language they use — they want to [ spits out the word angrily ] “TERMINATE” the Affordable Care Act. AUDIENCE : Booo — BIDEN : “Terminate.” Well, guess what?  Killing millions of Americans  — taking them off of healthcare insurance and stripping others of services like homecare. Watch: Ah, the king of unity, vilifying his political opponents once more. It’s become an all-too-common occurrence since he entered the White House. Note: these are actually two  different  speeches.... ... Trump's policies when he was president did not k...

Biden's laughable economy

DC Daily Journal: ... At first, the panelists shared the unsurprising notion that they like Joe Biden’s views on abortion more than Donald Trump. No doubt, Donald Trump has not done a good job of correctly messaging on the abortion issue. What was surprising is that these undecided voters essentially all agreed that there wasn’t much else redeeming about Joe Biden that makes them think he was deserving of a second term in the Oval Office. When asked about the economy, one panelist by the name of Nathan said that Joe Biden has been a “disaster” on the economy and that the nation was better of with a Trump-led economy instead. “I think he’s been absolutely disastrous for the economy,” Nathan from Wisconsin shared on the panel. Then, when MSNBC asked who on the panel felt as though their financial situation was better off with Trump as president than Biden, all of the panelists agreed by raising their hands. The very best part of this was that immediately after, the MSNBC reporter sa...

Biden's anti-energy policies set to hit Alaska production

American Action News: President Joe Biden is on the precipice of moving to shut down new oil drilling activity on millions of acres of Alaskan land, according to Bloomberg. Biden is reportedly days away from finalizing a plan to restrict oil drilling on nearly half of the 23 million acres known as the National Petroleum Reserve-Alaska (NPR-A) in the state’s North Slope region, according to Bloomberg. While the move will not imperil ConocoPhillips’ massive Willow Project that Biden greenlit in 2023, energy companies fear that the final plan will make it almost impossible to build infrastructure that takes advantage of the region’s abundant oil reserves. Energy executives are also worried that the Biden administration’s plan may actually end up being more aggressive than previously expected, according to Bloomberg. The policy would effectively bar new leases on nearly 11 million acres of land. The Department of the Interior (DOI), the agency that oversees the BLM, has suggested th...

New Jersey and Washington DC have highest US taxes

USA Today: With Tax Day approaching, here’s a sobering thought: The average American pays $524,625 in taxes in their lifetime, according to a new study. The report also ranks states on lifetime tax costs. And if you live in the Northeast, you may want to sit down for this: New Jersey residents pay $987,117 in lifetime taxes, the analysis found, the highest tab in the nation. Washington, D.C., comes second, with a lifetime tax burden of $884,820. Connecticut and Massachusetts are third and fourth, at $855,307 and $816,700. The lowest-tax state is West Virginia, with a lifetime cost of $358,407. ... Texas does not have a personnel income tax, but does have a sales tax.  I prefer the sales tax, because it gives me the option of whether I want to pay more.
