Man arrested for threats against Gabbard

A chilling case of political intimidation came to light this week as authorities arrested a 25-year-old man accused of sending menacing messages to Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard and her husband.
The Department of Justice revealed that Aliakbar Mohammed Amin was taken into custody in Lilburn, Georgia, on April 11, following an investigation into a series of threatening texts sent between March 29 and April 1.
The messages, described by officials as brazen and violent, included alarming statements like, “You and your family are going to die soon” and “I will personally do the job if necessary.” Another text declared, “Death to America means death to America literally, Tulsi is living on borrowed time.”
The threats grew even more specific, with one stating, “The home you two own in Texas is a legitimate target and will be hit at a time and place of our choosing.” In a final chilling note, Amin allegedly wrote, “Prepare to die, you, Tulsi, and everyone you hold dear. America will burn.”
Authorities uncovered additional evidence of Amin’s hostility on social media, where he reportedly shared images of a firearm aimed at photographs of Gabbard and her husband. A search of his home further escalated concerns when federal agents recovered a firearm, reinforcing the severity of his alleged intentions.

While Tulsi Gabbard has an unusual name, it has not stopped her from being a smart and effective member of the Trump team. Considering the name of the alleged perp, I wonder if he might have ties to Islamic extremists, even though he appears to be acting alone at this point.
