Guardsman accused of smuggling an illegal into Texas

Republican Gov. Greg Abbott of Texas ripped a national guardsman accused of smuggling an illegal immigrant during a Thursday Fox News appearance.

Savion Johnson was arrested Sunday for allegedly trying to smuggling an illegal immigrant over the southern border and was charged with smuggling of persons, evading arrest and unlawful carry of a weapon, according to NewsNation. Abbott tore into the individual, saying he considers him to be a “traitor.”

“I consider this person to be a traitor, a criminal fighting back against what we’re trying to do in the state of Texas,” Abbott told “America’s Newsroom” co-hosts Dana Perino and Bill Hemmer. “We are using our national guard to repel and to stop illegal immigration. To have a member of the National Guard be involved in assisting illegal immigration is reprehensible. Know this: I just recently signed a law that increased the penalties for smuggling illegal immigrants to a mandatory minimum of 10 years behind bars.”

It would make sense to charge Joe Biden too.  No one is more responsible for illegal immigration into the US.

Apple's huge investment in US including Texas facility

Blaze: Apple announced a $500 billion commitment to infrastructure in the United States over four years, its largest commitment to domestic spending to date. Apple said it will expand teams and facilities in Arizona, California, Iowa, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Oregon, Texas, and Washington as part of its new spending. With a new facility in Houston, Texas, Apple will reportedly double its investment in advanced manufacturing along with increasing investments in AI and silicon engineering. The company said in a press release that the Houston facility will produce servers to support Apple Intelligence, the "personal intelligence system that helps users write, express themselves, and get things done." ... The Texas facility will be for advanced technologies.   Texas has become a place that is very supportive of the tech industries.  Austin and Houston have seen much of the tech growth in the state.  Texas universities have been active in the AI field.
