GOP VP possibilities

American Reformer: After Donald Trump wrapped up what just might be the most inevitable primary in American history, energy and enthusiasm seem to be gaining on the Right. The most up-to-date RealClearPolitics polling average shows Trump up by 1.6 percent nationally over Joe Biden. Even more relevant for his re-election prospects, Trump leads Biden by an average of 3.2 percent in the top battleground states. Despite the protest of evangelical elites, at least 80 percent of evangelicals, if not more, will vote for Trump in the fall. As Trump gains ground, things are looking a bit bleaker for President Biden’s hopes for a second term in office. The southern border continues to be invaded , trillions are added to the national debt each year, the military is having an increasingly difficult time recruiting white males, mortgage rates look to stay high for the foreseeable future, the U.S. involves itself in yet more wars that further diminishes our reputation abroad, and formerly gr...

Population changes in Texas

Insider: In this article, we will take a look at the 11 fastest declining cities in Texas. If you would like to skip our discussion on the Texas economy, you can go to the 5 Fastest Declining Cities in Texas . Texas, the second-largest US state by land area, also has the second-highest GDP of $2.4 trillion as of 2022. The economy experienced a growth rate of 7.7% year-on-year during the third quarter of 2023, which is higher than the USA’s overall economic growth. This was the fourth consecutive quarter when the state’s economic growth surpassed the nation’s economic growth. The state’s economy is also the 8th largest in the world, surpassing the economies of individual nations like Canada and Australia. Texas is also a leader in exports, which exceed $486 billion annually, surpassing the combined exports of California and New York. These exports account for 22% of the total exports of the USA. It consistently ranks among the top states for job creation, with an employment gain o...

Big Green loses one

Redistricting aids Florida GOP

The Federalist  Wire: Republicans are gearing up for the elections this November. And now momentum is fully on their side. As federal judges give GOP a major 2024 election victory. Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis has supported a congressional redistricting plan in the Sunshine State that will now be upheld after federal judges ruled in favor of it. It was argued that the redistricting map was discriminatory towards black voters in Florida, yet federal judges ruled unanimously against those arguments. The map will greatly benefit the GOP in the 2024 elections this year. During the 2022 midterms the map helped bring a victory to Republican John Rutherford who was able to unseat Rep. Al Lawson (D) in Florida’s Fifth District. That seat was one of four seats which were flipped by Republicans as a result of the DeSantis-supported redistricting map. Any seat that the Right is able to pick up in the U.S. House this November is critical. As it stands, Republicans will have j...

The Palestinians lost right to Gaza with mass murder of Jews

Headline USA:  Hundreds of Anti-Israel Protesters Call Biden ‘War Criminal’ in NYC 'Genocide Joe has got to go!...' The war in Gaza is a direct result of Palestinians attacking Israel.   There was no attack on Gaza before the assault on Israelis. See also: Gaza -- Truths Behind All the Lies Prior to October 7, there were roughly two million Arab citizens of Israel but no Jewish citizens in Gaza. Gazans in 2006 voted in Hamas to rule them. It summarily executed its Palestinian Authority rivals. Hamas canceled all future scheduled elections. It established a dictatorship and diverted hundreds of billions of dollars in international aid to build a vast underground labyrinth of military installations. Collateral damage Hamas began the war by deliberately targeting civilians. It massacred them on October 7 when it invaded Israel during a time of peace and holidays. It sent more than 7,000 rockets into Israeli cities for the sole purpose of killing noncombatants. It has no voca...

Florida outlaws the 'squatters right' idiocy

Red State: If you had been told, say 20 years ago, that if you left your home unoccupied for a period (times vary in different states) and new "tenants" moved in on their own (in New York, for just 30 consecutive days), those "tenants" would acquire legal rights to stay put, for at least the time being, even after you proved ownership, what would you have thought?  Me, too — I just can't include it in this article. As " squatting " continues to spread across the country, including by illegal aliens, and squatters have become savvier about their "rights" — which should be  zero  — Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Wednesday announced, "We are ending it," as  reported  by my colleague Sister Toldjah.  DeSantis signed into law a unanimously passed  bill designed  to combat so-called "squatters' rights" and which puts the power back into the hands of law-abiding property owners and local law enforcement. At the signing presser...

Out of control immigration under Biden

DC Daily Journal: ... Immigration into the United States has experienced an unprecedented surge, surpassing federal projections by a considerable margin, as highlighted in a recent report from the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) released on Thursday. As of February 2024, the total immigrant population in the U.S. has reached a record-breaking 51.4 million individuals, constituting 15.5% of the nation’s total populace. This figure, disclosed by CIS, contradicts earlier forecasts by the U.S. Census Bureau, which had predicted that the proportion of foreign-born nationals wouldn’t hit 15.5% until at least 2039, rendering those projections outdated, as noted by CIS authors Steven Camarota and Karen Zeigler. This 15.5% encompasses both legally documented immigrants and those residing unlawfully in the country, as analyzed by CIS through an examination of the Census Bureau’s Current Population Survey (CPS). Approximately 25% of the 51.4 million foreign nationals currently residing ...

Texas leads nation in population growth

Insider: In this article, we will be covering the 15 fastest declining states in the US. If you wish to skip our detailed analysis, you can move directly to the 5 Fastest Declining States in the US . Population Dynamics Across the US As reported by the US Census Bureau, the US resident population increased by 0.4% in 2022 after witnessing a historically low change between 2020 and 2021. The primary driver of this population growth was the net international migration which added 1,010,923 people to the country. Simultaneously, the most significant year-over-year increase in total births since 2007 was witnessed. The statistics indicated a return of the US to the pre-pandemic era. Region-wise, the country’s South was the most populous and fastest-growing region in terms of population. The region received 1,282,675 residents as a result of net international migration of 414,740 and positive net domestic migration of 867,935. 153,601 residents were added to the West of the US. The immigrant population explosion under Biden

NY Post: The immigrant population has exploded by an unprecedented 6.4 million under President Biden amid the migrant crisis — an increase four times higher than under former President Donald Trump, a new study reveals. Overall, a record-shattering 51 million people living in the United States were born in another country, a surge triggered by the millions of migrants crossing the border, the report by the Center for Immigration Studies found. “We’ve never seen anything like this before over a three-year period of time. All prior records have been surpassed,” said Steven Camarota, the research director for CIS and author of the analysis. The report provided fodders to critics of Biden’s border policy. “The buck stops with President Biden. We have no border,” said Councilman David Carr (R-Staten Island). “We need a president who is going to reassert our sovereignty at our border. We have a federal government that has abdicated its responsibility. Everyone around the world knows it...

Shell hunger in Ukraine war

Telegraph: Six months after blocking US president Joe Biden’s proposal to spend another $61 billion on aid to Ukraine, Speaker of the House Mike Johnson – who alone can schedule votes in the narrowly Republican-controlled legislative body – seems to have reversed his opposition to Ukraine’s war effort. With retirements and special elections having reduced his majority to just two votes out of 438, and with a small contingent of far-right Republican extremists refusing to vote on any bill that has bipartisan support, Johnson increasingly relies on Democrats to enact budgets and other legislation. And that means he answers more to the Democratic agenda than the Republican one. And strong support for Ukraine is a Democratic priority. The US House is on vacation until the first week of April. But once it reconvenes, Johnson will call a vote on fresh aid to Ukraine, according to some of his House colleagues. With tens of billions of dollars in fresh funding, the US Defence Department ...

Russia focused on Ukraine and not NATO

Reuters: Russia has no designs on any NATO country and will not attack Poland, the Baltic states or the Czech Republic but if the West supplies F-16 fighters to Ukraine then they will be shot down by Russian forces, President Vladimir Putin said late on Wednesday. Russia's invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 has triggered the deepest crisis in Russia's relations with the West since the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis. Speaking to Russian air force pilots, Putin said the U.S.-led military alliance had expanded eastwards towards Russia since the 1991 fall of the Soviet Union but that Moscow had no plans to attack a NATO state. "We have no aggressive intentions towards these states," Putin said, according to a Kremlin transcript released on Thursday. "The idea that we will attack some other country - Poland, the Baltic States, and the Czechs are also being scared - is complete nonsense. It's just drivel." The Kremlin, which accuses the U.S. of fighting against...

Trump's lead over Biden

Townhall: The latest Fox News national survey shows former President Donald Trump pushing out to his largest general election lead in the history of the polling series -- in any of the three cycles in which Trump has run. His advantage over incumbent President Joe Biden sits at five percentage points in this data set, both in the head-to-head matchup (Trump hits 50 percent on this question) and the 'crowded field' scenario. For what it's worth, Trump's lead in a hypothetical battle against Vice President Kamala Harris is slightly larger, at six percentage points. ... A majority of voters now recognize that electing Biden was a mistake.  The economy was better under Trump and the Europe and the Middle East were not involved in big wars.  See also: How much more are YOUR groceries under Joe? Illegal job seekers

Virginia Allen: Brandon says he left Cameroon on March 15 and crossed the border from Mexico into California four days later. He knows it’s illegal to cross the U.S.-Mexico border between ports of entry, as he did, Brandon told The Daily Signal. But, he said, he did so because the “situation in my home country is not so good.” Brandon, 25, didn’t provide his last name and declined to pose for a photo. The illegal alien from the Central African nation said he has a cousin in Minnesota who helped him navigate the process of crossing the U.S.-Mexico border, a journey that cost him about $1,600. After he entered California from Mexico, Brandon said, the U.S. Border Patrol processed him in about 48 hours. Agents checked his skin and asked him for his name and basic information, he said, but not why he had come to America. The Cameroonian was one of about 120 illegal aliens released by the Border Patrol on Thursday morning at Iris Avenue Transit Center in San Diego. He also was...

Chicoms at the border and on US bases

Nick Arama: ... There have been a lot of questions about Chinese men of military age coming across the border in ever-increasing numbers.  Now, there's a report that a Chinese illegal alien was arrested by the Border Patrol after he breached a military base in the El Centro sector of California. He was there without authorization and refused to leave. His purpose & intent behind his actions are still being investigated. ... If he refused to leave, I think we can assume that there was something wrong here.  How did he even get on the base to begin with? Someone's going to have to answer up for that as well. And once they found him there, they just ordered him to leave, and only arrested him after he wouldn't? Were they just going to let him go without wondering or investigating what he was doing there?  We don't know what this man's specific aim was.  But we know that there's a problem of Chinese nationals being found at military bases. The House Oversight C...

Dems accused of trying to extort witness for conservative court nominee

Federalist Wire: ... Who can forget when the Left went after Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh during his confirmation process. Democrats were dead set on trying to bring up false accusations of s*xual assault against the Trump-nominated justice in order to reduce the amount of conservatives on the bench. They brought in Christine Blasey Ford who claimed that she was s*xually assaulted by Kavanaugh in high school during the 1980s. Ford was unable to provide any substantial evidence to that claim and Kavanaugh was eventually cleared and confirmed to the United States Supreme Court. However, more revelations are coming out that suggest that the Democrats were heavily behind the scenes to try and get one of Kavanaugh’s friends to support Ford’s allegations as true. Mark Judge, a journalist, spoke with Fox Nation’s Martha MacCallum during an interview and claimed that the Left tried to blackmail him and extort him so that he would help verify the allegations by Ford against his hi...

Hiding Biden

Red State: ... "I can't remember an administration that had a White House Counsel's Office that engage so directly in taunting and attacking legal inquiries from Congress. I mean, this is an impeachment inquiry. It's the most important possible process that a President and Congress are engaged in. And yet you have a member of the legal Counsels Office, mocking and taunting that effort. The fact is that the President's public statements to the public stand completely contradicted. [Biden] lied, he lied when he said he had not spoken to business associates, he lied when he said he didn't have knowledge of these business dealings." Turley notes the letter reduces everything down to 10 questions for Biden to answer, mostly had he spoken to Hunter's business associates.  Given the Hur report, the White House knows that testifying would put Joe Biden in deep trouble. He might truly put his foot in it, and accidentally give up critical information that can s...

Big Green comes for big trucks

American Update: “ATA opposes this rule in its current form because the post-2030 targets remain entirely unachievable given the current state of zero-emission technology, the lack of charging infrastructure and restrictions on the power grid,” ATA President and CEO Chris Spear said in a statement . “Given the wide range of operations required of our industry to keep the economy running, a successful emission regulation must be technology neutral and cannot be one-size-fits-all. Any regulation that fails to account for the operational realities of trucking will set the industry and America’s supply chain up for failure.” The ATA expressed concerns that the regulation will disrupt supply chains and how freight moves across the U.S. to the detriment of consumers. The trade group also suggested that the technologies which the EPA is counting on to replace diesel fuel — namely batteries and hydrogen power — are still “unproven.” Currently, the share of all heavy-duty trucks sold in th...

Defeating Russian aggression in Ukraine

ISW: Russia cannot defeat Ukraine or the West - and will likely lose - if the West mobilizes its resources to resist the Kremlin. The West’s existing and latent capability dwarfs that of Russia. The combined gross domestic product (GDP) of NATO countries, non-NATO European Union states, and our Asian allies is over $63 trillion.[1] The Russian GDP is on the close order of $1.9 trillion.[2] Iran and North Korea add little in terms of materiel support. China is enabling Russia, but it is not mobilized on behalf of Russia and is unlikely to do so.[3] If we lean in and surge, Russia loses. The notion that the war is unwinnable because of Russia’s dominance is a Russian information operation, which gives us a glimpse of the Kremlin’s real strategy and only real hope of success. The Kremlin must get the United States to the sidelines, allowing Russia to fight Ukraine in isolation and then proceed to Moscow’s next targets, which Russia will also seek to isolate. The Kremlin needs the Uni...

Open borders Biden

DC Daily Journal: ... There’s been much made about the crisis at the southern border with Mexico and how there’s simply far too many people making fake asylum claims and individuals just outright trying to invade the United States illegally. Illegal immigrants represent about 20-30% of all foreign-born residents in the United States. Illegal immigration is back on the rise after actually stabilizing and declining between 2017 and 2021 during the Donald Trump administration. About 5% of the American workforce is made up by illegal immigrants. All this and more, without even mentioning the terrible rise in drug proliferation and violent crime that southern states have been experiencing as a result of illegal immigration. Even some high-profile Democrats are sounding the alarm on this issue because they know it’s one that the Biden administration has utterly failed. Joe Biden’s hand-picked “border czar” – his Vice President Kamala Harris – has done next to nothing to address the bord...

Majority does not trust the media

Just the News: Americans do not trust several major U.S. institutions, including the national news media. The recently released Center Square Voters’ Voice poll found that 43% of Americans say the media is trustworthy, compared with 54% who said it is not trustworthy. Younger people were more likely to trust the media, with 47% of those ages 18-34 saying they trust it and 46% saying the opposite. The numbers steadily worsen as likely voters get older, with 41% of likely voters 65-years-old and older saying they trust the media, compared to 57% who do not. With the presidential election coming in November, the poll also asked voters how confident they feel about the following statement: “The media will report on the issues that matter most to you.” Only 42% said they were confident that was the case, while 54% said they were not confident. When asked whether the "media will cover all candidates fairly,” only 31% were confident the media would do so while 65% were not confident. ....

The push-back against squatters

Red State: Between Ron DeSantis  scoring  yet another victory against Woke Disney on Wednesday and the recent  settlement  on the Parental Rights in Education law where not a word of it was changed, it's been a pretty good month for the Florida governor, who continues to walk the walk when it comes to delivering results for the Sunshine State. The roll continued earlier as DeSantis signed into law a unanimously passed  bill designed  to combat so-called "squatters' rights" and which puts the power back into the hands of law-abiding property owners and local law enforcement. He posted a video teaser to the Twitter machine prior to the signing: At the signing presser, DeSantis  declared  that his state was "putting an end to the squatters scam".... ... It is hard to understand why squatters on someone else's property have any right to live there.  It is not clear why any state is allowing this kind of taking.

Questioning the Big Green agenda

American Update: Mississippi Secretary of State Michael Watson sent a cease and desist letter to investment manager giant BlackRock on Tuesday night over claims the company misleads clients about its involvement in environmental, social and governance (ESG) investing. The letter claims that BlackRock incorporates ESG factors into its investment funds that are designated as non-ESG due to a broader commitment to have all assets under management advance the agenda of reducing carbon emissions to “net zero.” The order also serves as a notice of intent to impose administrative penalties on BlackRock for its use of ESG factors when managing investment accounts to prevent “immediate and irreparable public harm.” “Investment companies will not push their political agenda on Mississippians, especially through fraudulent and deceptive means,” Watson said in a statement to the Daily Caller News Foundation. “All citizens should have the opportunity to make informed and educated decisions when in...

Questioning the Biden family business

National Review: House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R., Ky.) is officially inviting President Joe Biden to answer questions about his family’s foreign business dealings. Comer wrote a letter to President Biden Thursday afternoon asking Biden to testify so he can explain the role he appears to have played in his family’s alleged influence-peddling schemes, the main focus of the House GOP’s impeachment inquiry into the president. “The Committee has accounted for over $24 million that has flowed from foreign sources to you, your family, and their business associates. The Committee has identified no legitimate services to merit such lucrative payments,” Comer’s letter begins. ... It would also  be interesting to see if the Biden family paid taxes on that income.

The Russian-Nork axis

AP: A veto Thursday by Russia ended monitoring of U.N. sanctions against North Korea over its nuclear program , prompting Western accusations that Moscow is seeking to avoid scrutiny as it allegedly violates the sanctions to buy weapons from Pyongyang for its war in Ukraine. Russia’s turnaround on the U.N. monitoring reflects how Moscow’s growing animosity with the U.S. and its Western allies since the start of the Ukraine war has made it difficult to reach consensus on even issues where there has been longstanding agreement. The veto came during a vote on a U.N. Security Council resolution that would have extended the mandate of a panel of experts monitoring sanctions on North Korea for a year, but which will now halt its operation when its current mandate expires at the end of April. The vote in the 15-member council, with 13 in favor, Russia against, and China abstaining, has no impact on the actual sanctions against North Korea, which remain in force. Russia had never before t...

San Francisco politics moves to the right

Politico: San Francisco mayoral candidate Mark Farrell said Thursday that, if elected, he will ask California to send more armed National Guard troops into downtown to fight the city’s open-air drug markets. The announcement, part of Farrell’s plan to address the fentanyl overdose crisis, is the latest example of how the Democrat and venture capitalist is trying to oust Mayor London Breed in November by outflanking her to the right. Breed and Gov. Gavin Newsom, both Democrats, have used the National Guard and California Highway Patrol to help local police dismantle fentanyl rings, especially ahead of the city hosting the APEC summit last fall. But Farrell wants to see more military personnel deployed for an indefinite period of time — though he didn’t specify how many or for how long. His rhetoric, especially his call for “more armed California National Guard,” is sure to strike a political nerve in San Francisco. The city has increasingly leaned into tough-on-crime policies des...

A warning to Biden about Jewish votes

Newsmax: ... Dershowitz shared the document in Thursday's Wall Street Journal , one day after Lieberman, 82, died from complications after a fall in his home. "It's a warning to President [Joe] Biden saying you can't count on pro-Israel Jewish votes, and you can't mortgage our votes to what we call the two-state solution, namely Michigan and Minnesota," Dershowitz said. "Being fearful of losing a couple of hundred thousand Muslim and Arab votes in Michigan, we think has caused a lot of changes in the attitude. So Joe and I were working on a statement when I learned about his death, and I published the statement today in The Wall Street Journal, and we're going to continue in his memory." In the statement, with Lieberman's edits, the colleagues said they appreciated Biden's statements after the Oct. 7 Hamas "barbarisms" against Israel and that they believe Israel must be allowed to disable Hamas. "We have become concerned a...

Polls show Trump advantage with most demogrphics

Trump looks like he has turned around support compared to the 2020 election.  Voters appear to recognize their mistake in supporting Biden.  The results should not be that surprising.  Biden's policies increased inflation hurting the finances of most groups and his weakness resulted in expensive wars in Europe and the Middle East where the Biden administration shipped billions of dollars. The country was clearly doing better during the Trump administration both domestically and in foreign policy. Biden does have impressive dentures, but I give credit for that to his dentist.

The migration crisis

NY Post: A new, 2,000-person migrant caravan is making its way north to the US border — and is expected to reach El Paso, Texas, in just the next few days. Videos posted online show a swarm of people walking through the streets of southern Mexico on Monday. In one clip , an apparent leader could be seen encouraging the group through a bullhorn to chant “A la frontera” — meaning “To the border.” The group proclaimed in Spanish, “We are not criminals, we are international workers.” Church-run border shelters are preparing for the group’s arrival, as they run out of space to house the thousands of migrants trying to make their way into the United States, according to Border Report. “We are in contact with people and personnel in migrant shelters in south Mexico,” the Rev. Francisco Bueno Guillen, director of the Casa del Migrante shelter in the border city of Juarez, Mexico, told the news station. “They saw many people have come into the country recently and are being joined by othe...

Oop!

Daily Mail: Woman 'nurses stricken baby hedgehog' overnight only to 'discover' it was a fluffy hat bobble when she took it to an animal hospital ... The animal lover claims she found what she believed to be an injured creature on the pavement and 'spent a night looking after it' - despite it being somewhat lighter and fluffier than the spiky creature. The next morning, she took what she says she thought was a motionless mammal to Lower Moss Wood Nature Reserve & Wildlife Hospital, in Knutsford, Cheshire, in a box meticulously lined with newspaper and even placed a small dish of food next to it, as she remained by its bedside. But when hospital manager Janet Kotze opened the box, she realised the 'hedgehog' actually belonged on a woolly hat. ... It does not appear to be life-like to the rest of the world.

New York's squatter policies

NY Post: Joe Rogan has hit out at woke squatter policies in cities like New York that he says are “basically allowing people to steal other people’s homes.” The podcaster was discussing recent reports of homeowners struggling to take back their houses from squatters with comedians Dave Attell and Ian Fidance on his show Saturday — noting how one woman in Queens was even arrested after she changed her locks to force them out. Under New York law, squatters have rights to a property after living there for just 30 days. “That is bananas,” Rogan said. Fidance then mentioned that squatters have taken over more than 1,000 homes in Atlanta, Ga. “A thousand is crazy,” Rogan replied. “That means they know how to do it and they know the loophole — and you need to tighten that loophole up, you f–heads,” he said, apparently referring to the woke politicians. ... It is the theft of property and there should not be a time limit on prosecution for it. Allowing squatters to obtain property is ri...
