Ilhan Omar lost her cool on Friday when pressed on whether Israel has a right to self-defense in the face of the massacre of 1,400 people by Hamas. It should have been a very easy question to answer, but Omar decided to dodge it by feigning righteous outrage instead.

The scene started with Rep. Ayanna Pressley attempting to ignore a question about the brutal murders committed by Palestinian terrorists, asking if there's a "question from anyone else." That's when Omar just couldn't hold back her perverted indignation any longer and jumped into the fray.

OMAR: How many more killings is enough for you? Is it 1,000 more, 2,000 more, 3,000 more? How many more Palestinians would make you happy if they die? Will you be fine if all of the people of Gaza are gone? Would that make you happy? Would that be the thing that makes you proud? And maybe that's the question you should ask, Ritchie. Is he okay? How many more Palestinian lives is he comfortable with? Because I am not comfortable with any more.
Omar's outburst is the lowest form of anti-war rhetoric. Israel's goal is not to kill civilians. It is not to rack up deaths in Gaza until there's some measure of proportion reached. Rather, the objective is to end Hamas as a political and military force. Until that goal is met, the war will not end.

These calls for a ceasefire are a desperate attempt to garner a time-out that will save Hamas, and ensure more death and destruction in the coming decades. If there is a concern about the civilians in Gaza, they should be expressed as a demand for Hamas to release the hostages and surrender.

That is how this war stops and lives are saved. There is no alternative where a terrorist government that just got done perpetrating the most brutal, visible slaughter in history, literally filming themselves doing it with body-cams, gets to walk away from this. One way or another, Hamas is going to be destroyed.

Returning to Omar's deflection, she made it because she desperately doesn't want to address what actually happened in Israel. There's a reason she waited days to even address the situation, only doing so in the context of concern for Palestinians. Like the mainstream press, she has completely blinded herself to the reality of the atrocities that occurred, thus, she can't begin to process why a country would have any right to react in self-defense.

The destruction of Hamas is seen by most of us as a prelude to peace and fewer mass murders.  That Omar can't understand that is probably a product of her religious bigotry and support for Islamic religious bigots.

29 % of companies say they are unlikely to keep insurance after Obamacare

Conn Carroll: A new survey of 368 midsize to large companies found that 29% of them are considering terminating their active employee health care plans when Obamacare is full implemented in 2014.
