Rising sea level predictions pushed into the future
Washington Post:
Rising seas could swallow millions of U.S. acres within decades
Earlier predictions of a rising sea calamity were not realized. Around the turn of the century, it was predicted that the poles would be ice-free by now and that coastal cities would be underwater. That clearly did not happen and the ice caps have been expanding in recent years. By pushing it further out into the future the doom and gloom predictions will require a new generation to determine whether this prediction is ever met. It was much hotter in the 1920s than now and it did not happen then either.
