Iranian 'hair' police murder woman then 35 protesters

At least 35 Iranians have been killed in the protests that are sweeping the country following the death of a 22-year-old Kurdish woman, Mahsa Amini. The young woman was snatched off the street two weeks ago by the morality police because too much of her hair was showing under her headscarf. Three days after her arrest, she was rushed to a hospital and put on a respirator after being severely beaten while in police custody.

What makes this protest movement different is that it’s the first one specifically about women and women’s rights. The protests also highlight the plight of the Kurds and other minorities in Iran. It’s a potent and combustible mix, and the protests, which began in the Kurdish provinces, have now spread to the entire country.

Iran is led by brutal Islamic religious bigots with a hair fetish.  It is a government that is the enemy of the people and freedom.

29 % of companies say they are unlikely to keep insurance after Obamacare

Conn Carroll: A new survey of 368 midsize to large companies found that 29% of them are considering terminating their active employee health care plans when Obamacare is full implemented in 2014. Only 71% of employers surveyed said they did not expect to drop their health coverage, while 20% said they did not know and 9% said they were planning to exit. The latest survey, conducted by Towers Watson, echoes an ealier survey by McKinsey & Co. finding that 30% of private-sector employers were planning to drop their employee health insurance coverage by 2014. When the Congressional Budget Office crunched Obamacare's spending numbers, they estimated that only 7% of employees currently covered by employer-sponsored plans would lose their plans. ...
