California starting to look like Oklahoma in the Dust Bowl
Biz Pac Review:
People can’t escape California fast enough, but U-Haul is struggling to keep up
A recent report by U-Haul revealed that California remained the top state for outbound one-way rentals in 2021 for the second consecutive year as many Californians escaped the former Golden State for greener pastures.
Although the west coast state topped the list for the most moved out of state last year, the numbers were not “as severe” as they were in 2020 which is due in part to the fact that they “simply ran out of inventory to meet customer demand for outbound equipment.” In some cases, Californians will reportedly drive or fly to neighboring states to pick up a truck because there simply aren’t enough available in California.
On the flip side, Texas ranked No. 1 as the top growth state, with a small edge over Florida, according to the moving giant with more than 23,000 locations across all 50 states.

The liberals who are left in the state are doubling down on the things that make people want to leave. The legislature is talking about doubling its state income tax which is already one of the highest in the country. Texas is getting the ex-pats because it has the jobs and because it has no income tax.
