Hackers claim credit for shutting down Nork internet

Washington Post:

Who unplugged North Korea’s Internet?

Hackers claimed credit while the U.S. issued a coy nondenial, illustrating a cyberwarfare paradox: As attacks get bigger, the attackers get harder to identify.
What I find interesting about the shut down of North Korea's internet is how quite the regime got all of a sudden.  They went from bellicosity and threats to total silence.  Does this regime need the net in order to act tough.  Are they just a digital tiger?
