As Egyptians Ignore Curfew, Talk of a U.S.-Brotherhood Conspiracy


Among supporters of the military, which ousted Mohamed Morsi, there is a widespread view that the United States and the Muslim Brotherhood have a plan to destroy Egypt.
The Egyptians should not confuse the administration's incompetence on foreign policy with a conspiracy.   Obama has surrounded himself with advisers who thought they needed to get along with the Muslim Brotherhood in the name of Middle East peace.  They were clearly misguided in that effort and they ignored several warning signs that the Muslim Brotherhood was not our friend.  Since the general uprising these same people have been pushing the army to include the Muslim Brotherhood in a new government on the mistaken belief that it could help avoid a conflict.

In the meantime the Muslim Brotherhood made the mistake of opening fire on the army giving that institution an excuse to return fire and to eliminate them politically.  Why didn't the administration analyst see that coming?

29 % of companies say they are unlikely to keep insurance after Obamacare

Conn Carroll: A new survey of 368 midsize to large companies found that 29% of them are considering terminating their active employee health care plans when Obamacare is full implemented in 2014. Only 71% of employers surveyed said they did not expect to drop their health coverage, while 20% said they did not know and 9% said they were planning to exit. The latest survey, conducted by Towers Watson, echoes an ealier survey by McKinsey & Co. finding that 30% of private-sector employers were planning to drop their employee health insurance coverage by 2014. When the Congressional Budget Office crunched Obamacare's spending numbers, they estimated that only 7% of employees currently covered by employer-sponsored plans would lose their plans. ...
