Dreams of Saving Art Deco Havana

Fans of Art Deco architecture say Cuba’s capital has an unusual wealth of it, much of which has stayed standing — if poorly kept — through 50 years of Communist rule.
I am a fan of Art Deco, although I would turn down any trip to Castro's island of old cars and old buildings.  There are some fin examples of Art Deco in Roosevelt era Post Offices and Court Houses in this country, and they are probably much more sanitary.
