Sleuth or sloth?

Mary Ann Akers looks at the questions raised about "victim" Congressman Bob Wexler (D-Fla.) and whether he is a residence in the district he represents. She makes the mistake of making the issue about his accusers rather than his legal residence.

It shouldn't even be about whether Wexler is a liberal jerk, which he is. The guy actually lives in Maryland and sends his kids to school there. What Akers leaves out is that the address he gives as his residence in Florida is for senior citizens and the kids are not permitted to live there. She does mention that the address is that of Wexler's in-laws.

Wexler claims to have a Florida driver's license and car registration even though his home is in Maryland. Most states would not permit that and Akers should have asked Maryland officials whether it was permitted for home owners to have out of state registration.

I am sure Bill O'Reilly does not mind getting the credit for raising the issue, but attacking the accuser is the same as taking Wexler's side instead of investigating the charge.
