What Obama "hopes" to accomplish

He also shows a shallow understanding of the issues on immigration where he panders to illegals with one hand and beats up on employers with the other. There is already a path to citizenship in this country and there should not be a different one for those who broke the law to get here.
He demonstrates his ignorance of warfare and history by claiming he can end the war. All he can do is order a retreat, the war will go on. We are fighting a nihilistic enemy who is not going to quit fighting because we retreat on one front of the war. A retreat from Iraq will give the enemy a victory that he did not earn and will mean more Americans will be killed and the war will last much longer. It is one of the most foolish things we could do at this point.
Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama brought his broad smile and message of hope to a packed Toyota Center Tuesday night, telling the boisterous crowd that Texas is key to winning the Democratic nomination.It took awhile to find the program and it is understandable why he would bury this part of his message, because it is mostly incoherent. Predatory lending had little to do with the mortgage problem. The federal government pushed institution into making loans to people whose credit did not justify the amount borrowed. But being a senator means never having to take responsibility as he demonstrates.
...He promised the crowd he will end predatory lending practices that contributed to the national mortgage lending crisis. He said he will end lobby influence in Washington. And he said he will replace tax breaks for wealthy people and corporations that ship jobs overseas with tax cuts for the middle class.
Obama also said he wants to reform the immigration system. He has promised to bring those who are productive workers onto the path to citizenship while punishing employers who hire illegal workers.
"If you are ready for a change, we can stop using immigration as a political football," he said.
