Bringing the rule of law to big business crooks

Don Surber:

"Chances are, if you're an executive at Adelphia, AllFirst, Enron, ImClone, Qwest, Republic Securities, Rite Aid or WorldCom — all of which are under active investigation — you probably won't do any prison time."
Greg Smith, New York Daily News, July 14, 2002.
A jury of his peers found Ken Lay guilty today of enough crime to lock him up for life.

It will be up to the judge, of course, to sentence Lay. But the Bush administration hardly went easy on Ken-Boy.

Bush deserves apologies from anyone who ever implied that Ken-Boy would get off easy.

...
There is more including an impressive list of long sentences for some of the people that Greg Smith thought would not serve time. Will former Enron consultant Paul Krugman, give kudos to the Bush administration for its enforcement of the law? Probably not, he is not intellectually honest when it comes to the Bush administration.
