Leaky thinking at the Boston Globe
The Globe makes a weak argument about a weak pseudo scandal over the revelation that a CIA employee married to a showboating liar got him a gig to go to Niger. You just know this is disengenious pap from Moveon.org talking points. The fact is that if Valerie Plame had such poor judgement as to send her facts challenged husband on the mission to Niger, she probably deserves to be fired and not just exposed.
But you do have the Globe acting like they are concerned about the blowing of a cover endandering no one. Plame's cover company, which she had alrady disclosed when making contributions to Democrats who opposed US policy in liberating Iraq, had no employees to expose.
If Democrats want to be taken seriously on national security, they are not helping their case with all this fake conern over non existent exposed agents, yada, yada.
