Authorities said a Texas man told agents at Detroit Metropolitan Airport that he was headed to Syria to try to claim the $25-million bounty on Osama bin Laden. He was arrested on charges of making false statements to federal investigators.Sounds like he was up to something. The story does not say how he got to Detroit with is arsenal and cash. Did he fly out of Dallas with the stuff? Did he pick it up in Detroit? If so, from whom?

Mihsen, a naturalized U.S. citizen who was born in Syria, told agents he was on his way to the Middle East to investigate the illegal sale of uranium by extremists. According to a report today in the Detroit Free Press, Mihsen said he hoped to collect the $25 million FBI bounty for information leading to the arrest and conviction of bin Laden.
This morning, federal agents searched Mihsen's small home in a blue-collar Fort Worth suburb.

According to a court affidavit filed by Cory Howe, a Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent, Mihsen denied carrying a large sum of cash before agents checked him and found $13,756. They found a stun gun, 40 rounds of ammunition, pepper spray, a bulletproof vest and three Geiger counters in his luggage, the affidavit said.
