Homan challenges Biden-Mayorkas border policies

In a fiery exchange on Fox News’ America’s Newsroom last Friday, Border Czar Tom Homan didn’t hold back when dissecting the tenure of former Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas. Homan, a staunch defender of President Trump’s immigration policies, accused Mayorkas of weaving a web of deceit from the moment he took office under the Biden administration. “Well, his lips are moving, means he’s lying. He lied from day one,” Homan declared, setting the tone for a blistering assessment of Mayorkas’ record.

The former Biden official repeatedly insisted the U.S.-Mexico border was secure, a claim Homan dismissed as laughable given the staggering numbers pouring in from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Since fiscal year 2021 began, Border Patrol agents have encountered millions of illegal immigrants—a reality that flies in the face of Mayorkas’ rosy pronouncements. Homan contrasted this chaos with Trump’s swift action, noting that the former president “shut down the border” in less than a month, a feat that still resonates as a testament to decisive leadership.

Homan’s critique gained steam as he tackled Mayorkas’ stance on sanctuary cities, which the former secretary claimed to oppose in a clip played during the segment. “The bottom line is, how did he do on that question and sanctuary cities? Sanctuary cities tripled under his command,” Homan fired back. He pointed out the hypocrisy: while Mayorkas paid lip service to addressing the issue, he allowed public safety threats to flood American streets. The border czar didn’t stop there, painting a grim picture of Mayorkas’ tenure: “We had 2.2 million known gotaways they did nothing about. They released national security threats through the border. They released people so quickly, they released them before vetting came back from the FBI. He was a failure as secretary of Homeland Security.”

Biden and Mayorkas deliberately opened the borders in hopes that they were importing future Democrat voters.  They did not care that many of them were criminals deliberately released by foreign governments out of their prison systems.   It was one of the most disgraceful acts by a US administration in history.  It endangered American citizens and led to increased crimes in many states.  It was one of the many reasons voters supported Trump.

On Thursday, Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin, a Republican, signed an executive order allowing state law enforcement to assist federal authorities in combating illegal immigration. The order grants state law enforcement the authority to support U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers in the removal of migrants and other enforcement activities. It also urges Virginia cities and towns to permit local law enforcement to assist with deportation and arrest operations.

29 % of companies say they are unlikely to keep insurance after Obamacare

Conn Carroll: A new survey of 368 midsize to large companies found that 29% of them are considering terminating their active employee health care plans when Obamacare is full implemented in 2014. Only 71% of employers surveyed said they did not expect to drop their health coverage, while 20% said they did not know and 9% said they were planning to exit. The latest survey, conducted by Towers Watson, echoes an ealier survey by McKinsey & Co. finding that 30% of private-sector employers were planning to drop their employee health insurance coverage by 2014.
