The Dems' dodge against DOGE

DC Daily Journal:

Since taking office, Trump has already signed at least 63 executive orders in just a few weeks, including 26 on his first day alone. His orders reflect a decisive shift toward his “America First” agenda — cutting government waste, reinstating protections for women’s sports, and deporting thousands of illegal immigrants who entered under Biden’s policies.

One of the biggest targets of Democratic outrage is Trump’s creation of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which is now investigating wasteful spending, corruption, and financial mismanagement across federal agencies. The move has sparked fierce opposition, with Left-wing officials scrambling to challenge the administration in court.

Determined to resist Trump’s policies at every turn, a coalition of Democratic state attorneys general and local officials vowed to wage a legal war against the administration. But their battle isn’t limited to the courtroom — top Democrats have made it clear they’re taking the fight to the streets.

“We are going to fight it legislatively. We are going to fight it in the courts. We’re going to fight it in the streets,” House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries declared in January.

Meanwhile, Rep. Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, turned up the rhetoric even further, vowing at a protest over DOGE and its chair, Elon Musk, “We are gonna be in your face, we are gonna be on your a–es, and we are going to make sure you understand what democracy looks like, and this ain’t it.”

This legal onslaught comes after years of what Trump has called “lawfare” — weaponized prosecutions aimed at derailing his political career. Throughout his first term, Democrats pushed numerous investigations and impeachments. More recently, Trump faced politically motivated criminal indictments in New York, Georgia, and from Biden’s Justice Department, all designed to damage his 2024 campaign.

Now, according to Yoo, Democrats have pivoted from trying to destroy Trump personally to using the courts as a tool to obstruct his presidency.

Who in their right mind is against an increase in government efficiency?  The Democrats apparently just want to create distractions while screwing around with the Trump administration.  This looks like a bad-faith move by the Dems.
