Texas governor response to 'Muslim City' proposal

TownHall: Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) blocked the construction of a proposed Muslim-majority “city” in the Lone Star State. The development, which was reportedly backed by a group of Islamic investors, aimed to create a self-contained community with its own set of laws and governance. Abbott’s intervention underscores his commitment to preserving the state’s traditional values and upholding U.S. constitutional principles. Supporters are applauding Abbott for taking a stand against what they see as an attempt to undermine the nation’s unity and identity. This week, Governor Greg Abbott announced that the East Plano Islamic Center’s (EPIC) plans to construct a proposed Muslim neighborhood have been halted due to legal complications. Abbott has directed the developers to confirm within seven days that they are immediately halting any project construction he deemed illegal. EPIC has advocated for building a brand new 1,000-home settlement just 40 minutes from Dallas. The community woul...

China responds to Trump tariff war

Federalist Wire: ... President Donald Trump doubled down on his bold “Liberation Day” tariff plan Friday, even as China fired back with a hefty 34% tariff on American goods. Unfazed, Trump assured investors that his economic vision remains rock-solid, promising that his “policies will never change.” In a flurry of fiery, all-caps posts on Truth Social, the president dismissed China’s countermove as a misstep. “CHINA PLAYED IT WRONG, THEY PANICKED – THE ONE THING THEY CANNOT AFFORD TO DO!” he declared, exuding confidence that his strategy would prevail despite jittery markets, which took another nosedive in Friday’s opening hour. Earlier that morning, Trump rallied investors with a bullish message: “THE MANY INVESTORS COMING INTO THE UNITED STATES AND INVESTING MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF MONEY, MY POLICIES WILL NEVER CHANGE.” He added a tantalizing promise: “THIS IS A GREAT TIME TO GET RICH, RICHER THAN EVER BEFORE!!!” But the markets told a different story. The Dow Jones Industrial Averag...

ICE raids nab illegals in New York

NY Post: More than 100 illegal migrants were nabbed as part of a five-day mass deportation operation in New York state, the feds said Friday. Of the 133 people busted by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement, 20 had criminal charges or convictions on their records, including three convicted killers, the agency said in a statement . Nine of those swept up in the raids, which took place March 24-28, and been previously deported before getting back into the US, ICE said. The group of murderers snatched by ICE included a 49-year-old from Trinidad and Tobago, a 32-year-old from El Salvador and a 70-year-old from the Dominican Republic. The agency said it also arrested South African citizen Marcell M. Meyer, 43, who was charged with distributing and possessing child porn in Sackets Harbor, NY. Meyer allegedly used social media to share child porn to others, including an undercover US Homeland Security agent he thought was a 13-year-old girl, according to federal prosecutors. The recen...

US B-2 bombers hitting targets in Yemen

WarZone: The U.S. Air Force has used B-2A Spirit stealth bombers to attack Houthi targets in Yemen during the recent campaign against the rebel group, a U.S. official told The War Zone. That campaign began March 15 with a series of aviation and missile strikes against the Iranian-backed group. You can read more about the deployment of B-2s to the remote Indian Ocean island of Diego Garcia here . The official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss operational details, declined to say how many of these aircraft were used, how often or when. The confirmation however, provides more context about the collection of these jets on Diego Garcia. CNN was the first to report that B-2s from that island attacked the Houthis. Last week, a large force of B-2 Spirit bombers and other supporting assets deployed to Diego Garcia , which TWZ was first to report on . The latest satellite imagery, dated April 2, obtained by The War Zone from the Planet Labs archive shows at least six...

Trump's tariff strategy

I&I: “April 2nd, 2025, will go down as one of the most important days in modern American history.”  —  White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt. We have no doubt that Leavitt’s prediction will come true. Whether it’s remembered for being a success or as Smoot-Hawley 2.0 remains to be seen. “It is going to work,” Leavitt said. “And the president has a brilliant team of advisers who have been studying these issues for decades.” That’s a bit of an odd boast, given that the economists who have been studying tariffs and trade policy for decades had long ago decided that tariffs are a sledgehammer approach that rarely work as intended, that they are a wildly expensive way to create jobs, don’t spur economic growth, protect uncompetitive U.S. firms, and are an ineffective diplomatic tool. National Review recently published an  article  tracing papers from the Heritage Foundation going back to the early 1980s arguing for the benefits of free trade. The article ...

Russia increasing drone strikes on Ukraine

The Telegraph: The number of Russian drone strikes targeting Ukraine has surged by more than 50 per cent since US-led peace talks began in mid-February, Telegraph analysis has found. In the 30 days following Feb 18, when the peace talks began, some 4,776 drone strikes were launched by Russia, compared to 3,148 drone strikes in the 30 days before, according to Ukrainian Air Force Command updates. Experts said that Moscow has ramped up its attacks to force concessions from Kyiv – and take control over as much land as possible – as Donald Trump, the US president, pledged to bring a swift end to the fighting. Ukraine is also finding it increasingly difficult to intercept Russian missiles, resulting in more civilian targets being hit by Russia. “Russia is trying to increase the pain it is inflicting on Ukraine to make it more likely that Kyiv will make painful concessions and to show that Russia can continue the fight indefinitely,” said Daniel Byman, director of the Warfare, Irregul...

Wisconsin vote fraud revealed

DC Daily Journal: ... With Wisconsin’s high-stakes elections looming on Tuesday, April 1, an election integrity group has dropped a bombshell that could shake the foundations of the state’s voting system. Fair Elections Wisconsin (FEW), a grassroots watchdog, has identified 4,878 allegedly illegal voter registrations on Milwaukee’s voter rolls—registrations that cast ballots in the November 2024 election. This revelation comes just days before pivotal contests for the Wisconsin Supreme Court and a constitutional amendment to cement voter ID requirements into law. FEW President Justin Gavery took the fight directly to the Milwaukee Election Commission on Wednesday, March 26, submitting a detailed list of these questionable registrations. The group demanded action, but their efforts hit a brick wall. The commission, tasked with overseeing the integrity of Milwaukee’s elections, declined to investigate the claims, leaving the allegations unresolved as the state barrels toward another...

Group responsible for the mass murder of Israelis supported by the left

Blaze: Video: Leftists swarm ICE headquarters whining about deportation of pro-Hamas radicals  Radicals raged about the imminent ouster of foreign radicals whose pro-Hamas activism caught up with them. Hamas, as a group, not only bragged about its mass murder attack of Israeli civilians but also stated its genocidal intent of killing all Jews.  Not sense the German Nazis have so many Jews been killed in one day with the promise of annealating them as a group.   I support ICE's deportation of a hate group. Jobs make big comeback in Trump economy

DC Daily Journal: The U.S. economy is roaring back to life under President Trump’s leadership, with a jaw-dropping 228,000 jobs added in March, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) data released Friday. This figure obliterates the measly 140,000 jobs economists had timidly predicted, proving once again that the Trump administration’s pro-growth policies are delivering results that defy the naysayers. Compare that to February’s paltry 117,000 job gains, and it’s clear the momentum is building. The BLS noted a slight uptick in the unemployment rate to 4.2% from 4.1%, but that minor shift pales in comparison to the sheer force of job creation unleashed this spring. This isn’t just a number—it’s a testament to an economy firing on all cylinders. ... One fascinating detail from the BLS report: federal government payrolls shrank by 4,000 in March, following an 11,000-job drop in February. That February decline was the steepest since June 2022, and it’s no accident. The Tru...

Trump border policy is working

Blaze: All quiet on the southern front: Border crisis is over after Trump policies enacted ... Today, agents in the Santa Teresa area of operation in the El Paso Sector are no longer encountering large groups of illegal immigrants giving themselves up and are hardly seeing attempted gotaways. The main reason, they say, is because agents are actually back to patrolling the border and are able to arrest the few people who are trying to sneak in. It's a stunning reversal of what the region experienced during the Biden-Harris years. Everything from illegal aliens bum-rushing one of the ports of entry from the Mexican side to attacking U.S. National Guardsmen while storming the border to the streets lined with processed and released migrants due to lack of space, El Paso has been through the wringer. The lack of illegal activity was of no surprise once President Donald Trump got back into the White House this year and re-enacted his policies that were undone by President Joe Biden. Tr...

Spain imports femicide

PJ Media: A new report is circulating that half of the Spanish women killed so far this year were murdered by “foreigners,” i.e., migrants, most particularly Arab/Muslim migrants. The religion of peace strikes again, thanks to the ideology of wokeness. It ought to be blindingly obvious that bringing in many thousands of foreigners who practice a religion and come from a culture that encourages exploitation, violence, rape, and murder — all of which Islamic holy texts  explicitly endorse  — would create a crime crisis. But Western wokies are willfully deluded, and in the name of tolerance and progressivism, large numbers of violent foreign men have swarmed into Europe. Unsurprisingly, that has created a crime crisis across the continent, though it’s rare for governments to be honest enough to take accurate statistics. The European Conservative  reported the latest statistic from Spain on April 3, and it comes as VOX party spokesman José Antonio Fúster has become the ...

The Act Blue blues

See also:  Dem fundraiser ActBlue made donation standards ‘more lenient,’ received foreign contributions during 2024 election: internal docs Democratic fundraising powerhouse ActBlue changed its fraud policy twice during the 2024 campaign, implementing “more lenient” standards that let foreign and other suspicious donor money flow into US campaigns, according to internal company documents and other records exclusively obtained by The Post. The ActBlue fraud-prevention standards changed in April 2024 and again that September, with the relaxed guidelines allowing between 14 and 28 more fraudulent contributions per month. Under the updated policy, up to 6.4% of total ActBue donations that should have been rejected for fraud were missed...

Growing threats against law enforcement

Federalist Wire: ... The Trump administration is delivering on its promise to protect law enforcement and secure the nation, as federal officials just nabbed a Texas man for allegedly threatening to unleash violence on deportation officers and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. This arrest sends a loud and clear message: mess with Trump’s team, and you’ll face the full force of the law. Robert King, a U.S. citizen from north Texas, found himself in handcuffs courtesy of Homeland Security Investigations, a tough-as-nails division of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The agency dropped the news on Wednesday, revealing that King had been spewing dangerous threats across social media. Among his unhinged posts? A vow to “open fire” on any ICE agents he spotted in his neighborhood, plus direct attacks aimed at Secretary Noem herself. A senior DHS official, speaking to the Daily Caller News Foundation, laid it out plain and simple: “Like Secretary Noem said: If you threate...

'Train Wreck' Walz wants to be President

Federalist Wire: ... Tim Walz, the Democratic governor of Minnesota, is emerging as a top contender for his party’s 2028 presidential nomination—and that’s a disaster in the making for Democrats. Fresh off a crushing defeat in the 2024 election cycle, the party is flailing to rediscover its footing, and Walz’s recent musings only expose the cracks in its foundation. In a candid interview with New York Magazine published Monday, Walz branded himself a “train wreck” at times, a self-assessment that might just stick as the Democrats grapple with their identity crisis. “I think we’re cautious by nature,” Walz told the outlet, critiquing his party’s timid approach to reconnecting with voters. “And look, I said this and I told the vice president, I said I know my strengths and weaknesses. I said about 90% of the time, I can be really good, but about 10% of the time, I can be a train wreck because I’m speaking from the heart, like a teacher sitting in a teachers lounge or a laborer sitti...

US attacks' on Houthis have an impact

Twitchy: ... Here is President Trump's post. For the better part of the last three weeks, the US has been carrying out strategic airstrikes against the Houthis to decrease the terror group's capability to attack global shipping and to restore freedom of navigation through the Red Sea. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth stated that US operations would be unrelenting until those goals were achieved. The crack staff of investigative journalists over at CNN are criticizing the ongoing operations because bombs are expensive or something. ... Ships are more expensive than bombs, so there is that.   Trump is right to protect the US and allies' shipping in the region.  The Houthis are backed by the Iranians. A military gathering out in the open and in a circle looks like an invitation to being bombed. DEI loses in Supreme Court

Newsmax: The Supreme Court allowed President Donald Trump's administration to proceed with millions of dollars of cuts to teacher training grants - part of his crackdown on diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives - in a setback on Friday to eight Democrat-led states that have challenged the policy. The court put on hold Boston-based U.S. District Judge Myong Joun's March 10 order requiring the Department of Education to reinstate in those states funding for grants under two teacher training programs while litigation in the case continues. The eight states - California, Colorado, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York and Wisconsin - sued after the Department of Education announced on February 17 that it had cut $600 million in teacher training funds that were promoting what it called "divisive ideologies" including diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, or DEI. ... Grant recipients received a standardized letter notifying them that the De...

Vance says administration is not stopping the removal of Venezuelan gangsters

DC Daily Journal: ... Vice President JD Vance doubled down Thursday, signaling that President Donald Trump’s administration isn’t about to pump the brakes on deporting criminal illegal aliens—no matter how loudly “far Left Democrats” complain. Appearing on Fox & Friends with host Lawrence Jones, Vance spotlighted the administration’s push to send suspected gang members—tied to notorious groups like MS-13 and Tren de Aragua—straight to a sprawling mega-prison in El Salvador. It’s a move that’s got the left in a tizzy, but Vance made it clear: the mission stays on track. ... Vance didn’t flinch. “There have been a few cases out there where Democrats and the media say, ‘Oh, this person was just an innocent father of three,’ and then you find out, for example—I think this is the case that you’re talking about—back in 2019 an immigration judge looked at all the evidence, looked at all the data, and concluded that this allegedly innocent person that we sent to El Salvador was actual...

Court slaps down non-citizen voting

Federalist Wire: ... The New York State Court of Appeals ruled on Thursday that a New York City law permitting noncitizens to vote in local elections violates the state constitution. The ruling, backed by all but one of the court’s seven judges, affirms what many have long argued: voting is a right reserved exclusively for U.S. citizens. This outcome aligns with widespread public opinion that noncitizen voting has no place in American elections, and the court’s stance here is a clear win for that view. The case stemmed from a lawsuit challenging a 2022 New York City law that would have allowed roughly 800,000 noncitizens—specifically lawful permanent residents or those authorized to work in the U.S.—to cast ballots in local elections. The measure, passed by the New York City Council in 2021, sparked immediate controversy and legal action, halting its implementation almost as soon as it took effect. ... New York City has more non-citizens than most states have, and this count does ...

California's Big Green mistake

Real Clear Politics: Climate Policies Driving CA's Golden Road to Decline California’s economic, academic, media, and political establishment still embraces the notion of the state’s inevitable supremacy. “The future depends on us,” Gov. Gavin Newsom said at his first inauguration, “and we will seize this moment.” Others see California as deserving and capable of nationhood , a topic that has resurfaced with Trump’s presidency as it reflects, as a New York Times column put it, “the shared values of our increasingly tolerant and pluralistic society.” Critics say this vision is at odds with the facts on the ground. Rather than the exemplar of a new “progressive capitalism” and a model for social justice , California both accommodates the highest number of billionaires and the highest cost-adjusted poverty rate . It has the third highest gap, behind just Washington, D.C., and Louisiana, between middle- and upper-middle-income earners of any state. Nearly one in five Californians...

The leftist assaults on Musk's business

Blaze: Blaze News original: Tesla in the crosshairs: Leftist attacks against Elon Musk's car brand are massive and widespread Blaze News has noted documented attacks against Tesla — including arson and vandalism — as well as leftist violence amid the property destruction in more than 20 states. Among the biggest stories of the moment is the increasing deluge of Tesla vehicle vandalism — and worse. Ever since the car company's CEO, Elon Musk, earlier this year joined President Donald Trump's team as the leader of the DOGE — the Department of Government Efficiency — and began cutbacks, leftists far and wide have been losing their minds. ... These attacks are because of the left's irrational hatred toward Trump and his supporters like Musk.  These people need to be found and prosecuted for their damage to Musk's business operations.

Dem Senator ignores problem with Social Security

DC Daily Journal: ... Delaware’s Democratic Senator Chris Coons got a reality check from Fox News host Martha MacCallum on Wednesday—and boy, did he flub it. While the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has been digging into the Social Security system and uncovering a cesspool of waste and fraud, Coons seems content to stick his head in the sand, dismissing the mess as if it’s all just a bad dream. MacCallum, armed with the latest findings, tried to shake some sense into him during her show, The Story With Martha MacCallum, but Coons doubled down on his blissful ignorance. DOGE, tasked with sniffing out inefficiency across government programs, dropped a bombshell on social media recently. Over the past four weeks, they’ve been scrubbing Social Security’s records and have already flagged 9.9 million account holders aged 120 or older as deceased. That’s right—millions of “supercentenarians” are somehow still lingering on the books. They expect to mark another 2 million as go...

Trump wants Supreme Court to overturn judges ruling on deportation

DC Daily Journal: ... On Wednesday, the Trump administration launched a spirited final stand, pressing the Supreme Court to dismantle a lower judge’s misguided rulings and empower President Trump to swiftly deport suspected Venezuelan gang members to El Salvador, drawing on a rock-solid law from the 1700s. Acting Solicitor General Sarah Harris pulled no punches, blasting Judge James Boasberg for his chaotic “shoot-first-aim-later” approach to the case. She warned the justices that the longer his deportation freeze drags on, the more it undermines Trump’s rightful presidential powers and America’s strength in global diplomacy. ... I think the Boasberg ruling was a mistake that the Supreme Court should correct.  Trump should have the power to deal with a foreign criminal gang.  See also: House Bill Would Remove Judge Who Blocked Trump’s Gang Deportations Rep. Contemp for federal law enforcement in Boston

Red State: Boston DA Threatens ICE Officer With Contempt Charge, Gets Slam-Dunked by US Attorney for Massachusetts A Boston District Attorney and a Boston judge are getting a well-deserved lesson in constitutional law and the Supremacy Clause, and it's coming from U.S. Attorney for Massachusetts  Leah Foley. It seems an Immigrations & Customs Enforcement officer, Brian Sullivan, arrested an illegal alien in a Boston courtroom, pursuant to a valid federal warrant. Now the DA is threatening Sullivan for taking the illegal alien out of the courtroom, and the judge in the case has already found Officer Sullivan in contempt for arresting the illegal alien during the trial - and both of them may well now be in the second half of the famous "Fool Around, Find Out" cycle. ... She is now threatening felony charges against the Boston DA, who said he is considering charging the ICE agent who arrested the alien after he was held in contempt of court by a Boston judge for making ...

Deporting illegals with 600 criminal convictions

Washington Examiner: Federal immigration authorities in Houston deported 174 illegal immigrants with more than 600 criminal convictions across the group, including a number of previously deported repeat offenders, according to Immigration and Customs Enforcement . Between March 17 and 28, ICE’s Houston office removed illegal immigrants with significant criminal histories to Mexico, the agency announced in a press release Thursday. The group of illegal immigrants had been deported previously a combined 415 times. ICE did not release the names of the immigrants but provided details on some of their backgrounds. “This is just a small snapshot of the amazing work that the brave men and women at ICE do every day to enhance public safety in Southeast Texas,” ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations Houston Field Office Director Bret Bradford said in a statement . “Fueled by our unwavering commitment to protect the public from harm, and united in our determination to restore integrity to...

The fraud of the climate kooks

Blaze: A climate change finance company that was backed by big name celebrities has filed for bankruptcy. The bankruptcy follows the arrest of the company's co-founder for allegedly attempting to defraud investors of $145 million. Aspiration Inc., now known as CTN Holdings Inc., is a company that originally started as a sustainability focused financial services firm. Aspiration is a self-described "climate-friendly banking alternative that's good for your wallet and the planet." "When it comes to climate change, your money is power," the Aspiration website reads. "You can feel good knowing that your deposits will not fund fossil fuel exploration or production. By moving money to Aspiration, you’re giving the climate a fighting chance." Aspiration was reportedly backed by notable celebrities, including Leonardo DiCaprio, Drake, Robert Downey Jr., Orlando Bloom, Cindy Crawford, and billionaire Steve Ballmer. The Irish pronoun police

Caldran Pool: The Irish government has frozen the bank account of an Irish teacher after his continued refusal to use gender-neutral pronouns for a student at Wilson’s Hospital School. Enoch Burke, who has spent more than 500 days in jail for refusing to comply with a court order, also had his salary payments halted. Burke attempted to withdraw funds from his Bank of Ireland account last week but found that he was unable to access his money. The account reportedly holds over €40,000—his personal savings from years of work. The Irish government and courts have frozen these funds and are set to seize them next week. Burke was previously jailed for contempt of court after refusing to comply with an injunction barring him from entering Wilson’s Hospital School, where he had been suspended following a dispute over the use of transgender pronouns. ... Dem leaders think they need non-citizen votes

Red State: ... The suit, filed in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia on Monday, cites several plaintiffs, including most notably the Democratic National Committee (DNC), House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY). It's nice that Schumer and Jeffries got over their tiff long enough to join forces to stop the President from keeping non-citizens from voting. "In the United States of America, the President does not get to dictate the rules of our elections," the court filing reads. ... The suit's introduction goes on to suggest Trump was trying to "corrupt" the election process. Corrupting the process by ensuring only citizens vote. What a bizarre argument. ... It's efforts like this on the part of the Democrat party that make it glaringly obvious why they spent four years absolutely flooding the United States with illegal immigrants. They don't want election integrity. They ...

Media garbage dump

Trending Politics: White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt wasted no time setting the record straight Wednesday after Politico published a lengthy report claiming that Elon Musk is on his way out of the Trump administration amid internal frustrations. Leavitt torched the piece, labeling it “garbage” and dismissing it as another example of Beltway media spin. Politico Capitol Bureau Chief & Senior Washington Columnist, Rachel Bade, tweeted Wednesday, “SCOOP: Pres Trump has told his inner circle & members of his Cabinet that @elonmusk will be stepping back in the coming weeks from his current role.” “This ‘scoop’ is garbage,” Leavitt posted bluntly on X. “Elon Musk and President Trump have both publicly stated that Elon will depart from public service as a special government employee when his incredible work at DOGE is complete.” The report from Politico’s Bade suggested that Musk’s so-called “looming exit” was due to growing concerns inside the administration over his...

The case against DEI

Blaze: Journalist and filmmaker Robby Starbuck is responsible for enormous, multinational brands turning away from diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives that have permeated throughout culture and business for more than a decade. Through Starbuck’s work, Anheuser-Busch, Ford, Harley-Davidson, and Walmart have all pivoted away from their allegedly firmly held beliefs on inclusion. In an exclusive interview, Starbuck told Blaze News that he holds no hidden agenda or malice toward particular brands or companies; rather, he simply does not agree with race-based hiring practices or funding for sex-based events that often flaunt disturbing content in front of children. “Being a dad” is his chief motivator, he said. “I don’t want my kids to grow up in a crazy country.” ...
