Transgender athletes at risk after election
Two congressional Democrats have slammed their party's views on transgender athletes in the wake of Kamala Harris' election loss to Donald Trump.
Trump repeatedly made what he calls 'transgender insanity' a key plank of his platform on the trail, having said he would ban trans athletes in girls' sports.
Massachusetts Rep. Seth Moulton, who ran unopposed to retain his seat, and New York Rep. Tom Suozzi, who won and then held ousted inveterate liar George Santos' Long Island seat, are both speaking out.
Moulton, who was also heavily critical of former mentor Joe Biden, said that the Democrats 'spend way too much time trying not to offend anyone rather than being brutally honest about the challenges many Americans face.'
'I have two little girls, I don't want them getting run over on a playing field by a male or formerly male athlete, but as a Democrat I'm supposed to be afraid to say that,' he told the New York Times.

'The Democrats have to stop pandering to the far left. I don't want to discriminate against anybody, but I don't think biological boys should be playing in girls' sports.'
He added that 'Democrats aren't saying that, and they should be' but Suozzi's record also contains pro-trans legislation.

There is starting to be a consensus that having trans athletes compete against girls is unfair. I recall the problem in the Olympics when male trans boxers beat up females and did not find it at all entertaining. I think women's sports would be the big loser if biological males were allowed to compete.
