Biden border policy less secure and more lies

 Selene Rodriguez:

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) released its October 2023 monthly update and they did so earlier than usual. That is likely because this federal government is trying to take a victory lap, though the numbers prove that a victory is nowhere in sight.

Actually, the Biden administration does tell you the truth, but they are slapping a lie on top of it and calling it a birthday cake. So let’s take a look at some of the bow-tied lies we’re being fed.

The October press release states that the month’s numbers “show an overall decrease in migrant encounters along the southwest border.” While there is a decrease in comparison to August and September, the amount of encounters should not be as high as it is, and it wouldn’t be—if we enforced the laws that are already in place.

In October 2023, U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) recorded 188,778 encounters between ports of entry along the southwest border. CBP’s total encounters along the southwest border in October were 240,988.

The press release claims that they “have significantly reduced irregular migration & denied smugglers the opportunity to exploit individuals who have instead benefited from the expansion of safe, orderly, & humane pathways.” Try telling that to the Texas communities that are facing an increase in human smuggling tragedies, often ending in car crashes and even deaths—not to mention an increasing amount of stash houses and fentanyl seizures.

But while CBP is claiming a false victory, DHS’s own 2024 Homeland Threat Assessment claims that “TCO’s almost certainly will continue to smuggle drugs into our country while also exploiting migrants for financial gain.”

While Americans demand that the federal government do something to stop the crisis and protect our communities, President Joe Biden insists that cities overwhelmed by the burden should instead receive more tax dollars to integrate thousands of migrants into their societies.

The administration insists to the American public that its policies at the border are creating safe and human legal pathways into our nation. In reality, those “legal pathways” are just the administration letting people stay in the country, even though they have no legal right to be here. For example, since May 2021, the U.S. government has granted humanitarian parole to over 57,000 Mexican nationals though few, if any, Mexicans have valid claims to asylum.

I have to agree with my friend Judge Art Arthur at the Center for Immigration Studies, you can ignore any references to actual enforcement made by the Biden-Harris regime. His analysis found that 468,035 inadmissible aliens who had no right to enter the U.S. were granted parole in fiscal year 2023.

Last, but certainly not least, is the lie that this administration is working towards funding border security. In October the White House released a funding request for “strengthening border security and enforcement.” Sounds legit, right? Too bad it isn’t.

What the funding really will do is speed up processing of migrants, not slow the flow or stop it. More importantly, it will further incentivize people to put their lives in the hands of cartel smuggling operations, thanks to a false hope of legal pathways at the expense of American taxpayers.
...

The US continues to pay a high cost for Biden's open borders policies that are also making the US less safe.  Biden has opened the borders to millions of illegals and the totals are actually more than the birthrate among US citizens.  While the illegals cannot legally vote their numbers can be used to increase the representation of the areas in which they settle.  That is one of the reasons why blue cities are welcoming many of them.
