Biden administration accused of colluding with cartel

According to The Washington Post, an internal ICE proposal involves releasing thousands of migrants and reducing detention beds from 38,000 to 22,000 to address the budget situation.
This is exactly what the cartels want, as much of their business is trafficking people for money with the promise of American residency at the end.
A representative for the Department of Homeland Security criticized Congress for failing to adopt the border legislation.
“Most recently, Congress rejected the bipartisan national security bill out of hand, which will put at risk DHS’s current removal operations,” the spokesperson said in a statement. “A reduction in ICE operations would significantly harm border security, national security, and public safety.”
Meanwhile, illegal crossings are predicted to increase soon – they typically peak in the spring and remain high throughout the summer.
As the election season approaches, the border problem has become a source of contention for Democrats.
President Biden’s approval rating on immigration fell to a record low of 32% last month, and his overall approval rating remains low.
On Tuesday, House Republicans voted to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas for handling the border.
Border agents have reportedly encountered more over a million illegal migrants since the fiscal year began in October, the earliest they have ever reached that mark.
In December, officials encountered 302,000 migrants at the border, the biggest monthly total on record and the first time the number exceeded 300,000.
According to the CBP, 2.5 million migrants were detained last year as they crossed or attempted to cross the southern border.
Meanwhile, more than 96,000 “known gotaways,” or migrants who were spotted but not apprehended, have reportedly crossed the southern border since October 1.

The Biden open borders policy is facilitating this invasion and it looks like Congress is also derelict in dealing with it. The Trump administration showed that the border can be controlled, but Biden reversed those policies as soon as he took office.
