Twitter layoffs begin

Elon Musk has begun making layoffs at Twitter, and, before the day is done, as many as 3,750 Tweeps will be former employees.

Now, we take no pleasure in people losing their jobs, even though, as a group, Twitter employees worked ceaselessly to destroy the lives and livelihoods of untold conservatives, conservative publications, and thought leaders for the crime of wrongthink for years. 

It’s estimated that half of the Twitter employees worldwide will be sent a “Your Role at Twitter” email and be set free to pursue their future lives elsewhere as censors, scolds, and Karens. It’s even possible that some Obama administration officials who embedded into Silicon Valley like ticks after 2016 could be among those who are allowed to fly away to their destinies as critical theory grifters, cognitive infrastructure specialists, cable hosts, and, of course, wine snobs.

Twitter should be a more interesting site without the censors. It will no longer look like an arm of the DNC, hopefully.

29 % of companies say they are unlikely to keep insurance after Obamacare

Conn Carroll: A new survey of 368 midsize to large companies found that 29% of them are considering terminating their active employee health care plans when Obamacare is full implemented in 2014. Only 71% of employers surveyed said they did not expect to drop their health coverage, while 20% said they did not know and 9% said they were planning to exit. The latest survey, conducted by Towers Watson, echoes an ealier survey by McKinsey & Co. finding that 30% of private-sector employers were planning to drop their employee health insurance coverage by 2014. When the Congressional Budget Office crunched Obamacare's spending numbers, they estimated that only 7% of employees currently covered by employer-sponsored plans would lose their plans. ... Bin Laden's concern about Zarqawi's remains
