Rainbow over palace as Queen Elizabeth dies

A double rainbow greeted the swelling crowds outside Buckingham Palace just before the announcement of Queen Elizabeth II's death on Thursday.

The queen, the United Kingdom's longest-reigning monarch, died at 96 after serving 70 years on the throne. The double rainbow was first spotted as people gathered after the palace announced on Thursday morning that the queen was under medical supervision in her Scotland home, Balmoral Castle.

The Queen had a remarkable reign.  I recall watching her coronation on TV when I was a child.
