Biden bites the press
President Joe Biden is griping about his press coverage as he struggles to break through back-to-back negative news cycles before the 2022 midterm elections.
But complaining about the news media is unlikely to help Biden or congressional Democrats before November as Biden's job approval numbers plummet into former President Donald Trump territory.
Biden campaigned, in part, to normalize press relations after his predecessor, Trump, slammed the news media as “the enemy of the people.” But public officials have the tendency to “lash out” at journalists and reporters when they encounter “political turbulence,” according to former Republican staffer-turned-Claremont McKenna College politics professor John Pitney

There was a huge difference between Trump's legitimate attacks on the media for perpetrating the Russian collusion hoax and giving themselves awards for the bogus coverage and the fact that Biden has been a rolling disaster from day one all of his own makings. The Democrats have earned that bad coverage by pursuing unpopular policies that have hurt everyday Americans. From more than doubling the price of gas to inflation, the Democrats have done things to hurt everyday Americans while claiming they are doing it for their own good.
