Who will arrest Putin?
NY Times:
Investigators Gather Evidence of Russian Atrocities in Ukraine
- President Biden for the first time said Moscow was committing “genocide,” but it was unclear if his statement would lead to changes in U.S. policy.
- The authorities exhumed bodies outside Kyiv, as Russian troops appeared to be massing for a new eastern offensive. Here’s the latest.
The Russian troops are executing the Russian way of making war, turning buildings and infrastructure into rubble, and killing non-combatants. It is what Russian troops are ordered to do and Putin is in charge of giving the orders. There are multiple war crimes being committed and Ukraine is mostly fighting a defensive war. It does not have the resources to capture Putin and put him on trial. But NATO should give Ukraine the resources to defeat a demoralized Russian army.
