Republicans have controlled the state government since 2003. An anti-Trump surge could give Democrats a crucial boost.

Their main chance is probably by cheating with vote harvesting scams in Harris and Dallas counties.  In my mostly rural county, I do not recall any Democrat House candidates on the ballot when I voted.  If there were any, I voted against them.  There was literally no indication that Democrats were actively seeking office in Washington Country.  None.  

Whether they will get away with their vote harvesting scams and taking advantage of people in nursing homes will depend on the outcome of litigation in the Texas court where the GOP is questioning their tactics.  It is a story that much of the media has avoided reporting.

It is hard to see Democrats taking the Texas House when they have little likelihood of Biden carrying the state.  Actually, Republicans have made inroads in several formerly Democrat areas of the state.

29 % of companies say they are unlikely to keep insurance after Obamacare

Conn Carroll: A new survey of 368 midsize to large companies found that 29% of them are considering terminating their active employee health care plans when Obamacare is full implemented in 2014.
