Rage against the mullahs is escalating in Iraq

Washington Post:
What's different this time: A wider spectrum of society may have joined the clashes with police, and not just the lower-income Iranians who have protested the government's decisions in the past.
The sharp rise in the cost of fuel, in this fuel-rich country, is just a part of the problem.  Highly educated Iranians are working as shop clerks because there are no jobs for which they are qualified.  People who can leave the country are doing so.  A beauty queen trained as a dentist recently asked for asylum in the Philippines.  The ayatollahs squandered the riches Obama sent them on pallets in the middle of the night.  Trump's maximum pressure campaign is also having an impact on the regime.
