Hong Kong Democracy Backers Win Big as Voters Flock to Polls

A surge in voting, especially by young people, allowed democracy advocates to win many more seats on local councils.
The Chinese government might be the only ones surprised by this outcome which was a direct result of them trying to impose their will on the people of Hong Kong in violation of their agreement with the Brits.
