The whistleblower's complaint is hearsay garbage

NY Post:
The White House fired back Thursday after the release of the intelligence whistleblower’s complaint about President Trump’s efforts to seek dirt from Ukraine on former Vice President Joe Biden.

Press secretary Stephanie Grisham claimed the complaint “is nothing more than a collection of third-hand accounts of events and cobbled-together press clippings.”

She added that the president released a rough summary of his call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Wednesday “because he has nothing to hide.”

“The White House will continue to push back on the hysteria and false narratives being peddled by Democrats and many in the mainstream media,” Grisham said.

Prior to attending a GOP fundraiser in Manhattan on Thursday, the president tweeted: “THE DEMOCRATS ARE TRYING TO DESTROY THE REPUBLICAN PARTY AND ALL THAT IT STANDS FOR. STICK TOGETHER, PLAY THEIR GAME, AND FIGHT HARD REPUBLICANS. OUR COUNTRY IS AT STAKE!”
...
Meanwhile, Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.), ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee, said the whistleblower complaint “relied on hearsay evidence provided by the whistleblower.”

During opening remarks before acting Director of National Intelligence Joseph Maguire’s testimony, he added: “The inspector general did not know the contents of the phone call at issue. The inspector general found the whistleblower displayed arguable political bias against Trump.

“The Department of Justice investigated the complaint and determined no action was warranted,” Nunes added. “Once again, this supposed scandal ends up being nothing like what we were told.”

This is certainly no stain on a blue dress.  It is hearsay compounded with press clippings in the service of another Democrat coup attempt.
