Tax cuts give economy a boost in first quarter

Washington Post:
U.S. economy grew faster than expected in first quarter since Trump’s tax cuts

The economy grew at an annual rate of 2.3 percent in the first three months of 2018, the Commerce Department said. The results were slightly above Wall Street analysts’ forecasts of 2 percent annual growth rate.
I suspect supply-side economists expected the robust growth and Democrats did not.  These results will make it harder for Democrats to run on repealing the tax cuts in the mid-term elections.
