Why should you trust this government not to seize your home to pay for Medicaid?

In some cases, states can seize a deceased person’s assets to recoup costs, but experts say it’s unlikely.
This is coming from the same administration that said "if your like your heath care plan you can keep it--period."  Or you can keep your doctor.  That was not true even though it was unequivocal.  So why should you trust them not to seize your home to pay for Medicaid?
